i will be taking my DD to CG to celebrate her birthday. I don't want to break the bank. Any thoughts for a special surprise?

Aside from ordering a cake (or buying a podium cake when you get there), there really isn't any way to guarantee anything special will happen. I would call and have the celebration noted on your ADR and confirm that it's noted when you check-in. CA Grill does (sometimes) sprinkle Mickey-shaped confetti on the table when guests are celebrating something. Otherwise, timing the ADR so you can watch Wishes is fun (either from your table if you get really lucky or from the observation decks).
