Would this be a good place for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary? We've never been there, but have heard really good things about it.

Thanks,
Angel

Depends on the atmosphere you're looking for. We went last year as a group of 3 ladies. The food was spectacular, the service amazing, the view breathtaking. But the atmosphere was a little loud. Overall easily the best meal of our last trip.

My husband and I love the CG. This was our pick when we renewed our wedding vow at the WP last Oct. they were Great. Let them know that it is your Anniversary and they will do something special for you.:Pinkbounc Happy Anniversary!!

Amazing food and service. It is loud and hectic, though, in an elegant sort of way. I would definitely choose it for an anniversary dinner, because it is a special experience. If you want soft light, romantic music and staring into each other's eyes, though (you didn't say if it's an early enough anniversary to still be into that stuff ;) ) it might not be the best choice.

Of course, maybe you consider the music from the MK fireworks romantic ;)

Well, it's been 15 years so any meal without listening to our three children fight is romantic. ;)

Thanks! it sounds like it's what we're looking for. Maybe if we want romantic, we'll take a stroll along the beach of the Polynesian afterwards.

Angel M, you are just too funny! any place w/out the children fighting!! ah, yes, i remember those days. happy anniversary!!:p

We have been to CG twice now and have experienced amazing service, food and atmosphere. The most recent trip on the night of my birthday during our June 2002 trip, my boyfriend proposed during the fireworks and the treatment from CG was incredible. I can't say enough about CG! Highly recommend!!! :)

make sure you go to CG when it is dark outside. The view of the MK from the big windows at CG is spectacular: one of the best views on property in my opinion. As I remember it (it's been a couple of years, it feels a bit like your flying over the MK. Seeing Cindy's Castle lit up from "above" is simply incredible.

Enjoy your anniversary!

They really don't have a dress code. Have seen people in shorts & shirts. I do believe men cannot wear tank tops. I usually wear casual dress or slacks and husband wears dockers & polo shirt. Some people really dress up too! It's however you want to feel. Make sure when you make your ps, tell them your celebrating your anniversary. If possible make it so you can be there during fireworks. (about 1 1/2 hrs. before) When it's time for fireworks you can stay inside or walk outside to the viewing area. They also will let you take your drinks out with you!

Enjoy this is a great place to dine for a celebration!

We always try to make the CG our "first nite" restaurant each trip. Will be going again our first nite on Sept. 28!!
Dress code officially is "Smart casual". When I called and spoke to the restaurant manager, he indicated anything was acceptable except tank tops, flip-flops, and bathing suits. We always go "theme park casua"l, but as tkldisney says, you'll see all sorts of dress combinations, so dress however you feel comfortable!!
