Is the california grill the place to eat dinner and can watch the fireworks too?

Yes it is. I recommend getting an ADR for about 1 - 1.5 hours before Wishes is scheduled to begin if you plan on having an appetizer, entree and dessert if you'd to be seated while Wishes is being conducted. If you eat earlier, they will permit you to come back up to CG and watch the fireworks from the observation deck.

You may also view the fireworks from 'Ohana.

can you also do this at Narcoosee's as well? Are they all comparable in terms of fireworks viewing? Are there any other places that you can do this with?

I love watching the fireworks, but I don't like leaving with the crowds and a stroller so I am considering dining somewhere like this!

Yes you can see them there as well, and at any of the beaches. However, I think the best place to watch them is outside on the observation deck at CG (you are 15 floors up). And you will definately get a different perspective on the fireworks. My DH and I were so amazed the first time we saw them there. Have fun, and oh yeah, the food at CG is out of this world.

Yap have a 7:30 reservation ready to go for our anniversary dinner..looking forward to it!

That's what we are going to do. We have a 6:00 p.m. ADR and plan to go back to watch the fireworks later that night.
