Just wondering if California Grill offers a view of the castle fireworks. We've never eaten there so I'd like some info on the food, dining experience and wishes views (if offered). Any other restaurants that offer a view, besides Ohana at the Poly?

TIA

Yes you can watch Wishes from there and you can also see them from their observation deck which is outside the restaurant. The only thing I can not comment on is their food since my family and I have not had dinner there.

Cal Grill has the best view on property for the MK fireworks. The food is gourmet, you might want to check out the menu under dining in the tool bar above. They will not guarantee that you will have a window table but it is windows on all four sides plus you can go out on the deck and watch as well. They pipe in the music so you dont even miss out on that. Reservations can be hard to get though.

The last time we ate there was 3 years ago and the food was great! The fireworks are even better!

Yep, great view. Food was good, but not quite as good as I was hoping for that venue. IMO, a one-time experience.

We did this a few years ago and the food was very good. I don't know what it was but it was a terrific dining experience.

We had a table away from the windows because of our party size. It can be requested, but as PP said, not guaranteed.

My neighbor said it was the best dinner of her life! We will be there two weeks from tonight. :cool1:

The fireworks view is hit or miss. Depending on where your table is, whether they dim the lights, play the music, or if you have visitors from other tables move into your line of view, all of these effect your enjoyment!
Plan your dinner with the thought of viewing them from the deck. If the table works out, then great!

We've had great service and food there. CG is not our top choice for a restaurant-Jiko, Flying fish, Citricos and Artist Point place before it- but it is a lovely place to enjoy a meal. Place your expectations appropriately-don't make too big a deal of the view- and you'll be fine.

Honestly, the beach at the Polynesian is the best bet for a view of fireworks.
Regardless of what you decide-have a great time!

I'm shocked by this! :) With all the stays you've had there, you've never eaten at CG? WOW!! You've been missing out!
