I have an ADR on May 4 for CG at 9:50. It was the only one I could get! Is it going to be possible to watch Wishes at 10:00? What time should we (family of 4) arrive? Or, should I cancel my ADR and watch from elsewhere? This is our first trip and I really want to make the most of it. Thanks!

Well, I do think you may have a problem watching Wishes from CG. Just because your ADR is at 9:50 doesn't mean you'll be seated at exactly that minute. Even if they seat you immediately, chances of getting a window table are very slim, so if you can, go outside where you can watch.

I don't think I would cancel. I hear the food and service at CG is very good and most reviews say the same thing. I'll be trying it this Dec. Is there another night or time you can watch the fireworks just in case?

Also, keep trying to call to see if anyone cancelled and you may get lucky and get a table earlier. Good luck!

Our most recent visit to CG was in January, one of the slowest times of the year. We waited 50 minutes past our ADR time before we were seated and we had arrived 15 minutes early which put our total wait time at 1 hour, 5 minutes.

They will probably let you go up to the restaurant so that you can watch the fireworks from the outside viewing platforms but I wouldn't count on getting a table in time. Anybody who is sitting at a table that close to fireworks time isn't going to get up and leave. Also, there is very limited seating in the lounge area while you wait for your table. We have found that most often, we stand in a fairly congested area right off the elevators while we wait for our table.

Also, I'm sure you know already, there is no guarantee that you will get a window table anyway. There are only so many of those and everybody wants one.

The fireworks are nice from here but not the greatest view. From inside the park is much better. Personally, I would not go to Ca Grill for the intention of watching the fireworks. Sure, it's a nice perk if you hit it right but I would only go because I wanted to eat there.

We also had a wait. I had thought I had the fireworks timed to the dinner reservation. But it actually worked out better. We were taken upstairs, our table wasn't ready. Shortly after sitting to wait for a table... the fireworks started and we watched from outside. It was awesome. We then went back in and within minutes were seated. It was a great time and we have good memories.

We have ressies for the CG tomorrow night @ 9:30. Wishes is at 10:00 so I am hoping we'll be seated by then but I am not counting on it.
