If Wishes is at 9 - do you think an 8:00 table will be good in order ot see it? I have heard of the tables not turning and people not being able to sit around their ADR time- is that normal or was that something out of the ordinary? TY

For our dinner at CG last week, at a very crowded time, we were brought upstairs on time. The meal (including appetizers) took over 2 hours, our server pacing things so that we would end around the time of Wishes. We actually had to get up in the middle of dessert. I'm sure your server will pace things for you. It may be best to take things slow; linger over appetizers and bread and ask that the entree not be served until after the fireworks.

You should be fine with 8pm ADR for 9pm Wishes. It is unlikely that you would not be seated for an entire hour (although I know folks have had it happen). Suggest you arrive at 2nd floor check in 7:45...we have never had any trouble there (but we're party of 2 which is probably easier) and we're fairly unfussed about dining waits, so it could be our perception that it's all good.

We were there during an un-crowded time and the CG was a nightmare. We had an ADR for an hour before wishes, and ended up having to watch it on the balcony as we weren't seated yet. People who get there tend to stay at their tables until Wishes.....just a caution you may want to get there earlier. If the meal takes 2 hours, I would go 2 hours earlier than Wishes and drag it out a bit.

I always have made our ADR about two hours before Wishes. The CM has timed our meal so that we have dessert and coffee after the fireworks show. I prefer to be early rather than not be seated in time for the show. THis is generally our last evening there so we like to take our time and relax during dinner.

we had 6pm ADRs at California Grill for our 30th Anniversary. We finished about 7:40, so we were able to out to the balcony & watch wishes, then leave afterwards. It was great, good food, great service, the view during dinner was wonderful, watching the sun set & all the lights come up in the park, then watching Wishes without being in a crowd, & walking out of the Contemporary,& getting a cab back to POP. Great night!:cloud9:
