California Grill--What to wear?

What should we wear for dinner? I know what the official dress code says but do most people dress up or go more casual? We will be coming straight from the park (no time to go back to the room to change). I am thinking of wearing a sunback dress or a nice skirt but DH is less than thrilled that I suggested that he wear (at least) khaki pants and button down shirt. He was thinking more of nice shorts and a polo. We are going mid-Sept. so it will be hot.

He should be ok with a nice pair of shorts. Haven't been to CG in a while but I know their dress code is the same as FF and Jiko which frequent a lot. My dh wears nice shorts to both of those and a golf type shirt.

Did you make a PS for this? Just wondering, did they require a credit card hold or have a cancellation poilcy for the PS? There was a while we were doing this and that's the main reason we haven't gone in a while (I'm always afraid to make any deposit/non cancel reservations when we're at the world )

We did make an ADR for this and they took my credit card number. I think she said as long as I called at least 24 hours before, there would be no charge for a cancellation. I think the cancellation fee is $20 per person.

His thinking is right, that is what most of the men wear. And actually the dress code now allows t-shirts as long as they are nice and have nothing offensive on them.
