What would be the best time to reserve a table for 3 at the California Grill to watch wishes during june?

Here's what I did: When I called WDW Dining to make the reservation, I asked them for their advice. They can walk you through it, and will know what time should work best for you.

(FYI, the waiters at CG are used to people wanting to go out to see Wishes on the balconies, and will time your meal accordingly. Just let them know that you plan to go out and watch the fireworks, and they'll take care of you!)

We usually book for an hour and a half before the fireworks start. We then watch Wishes before ordering dessert. We did this on Christmas Day a few weeks ago and it worked out perfectly.

This is my favourite restaurant and we have to visit every trip. Hope you love it like we do.

Just incase your meal is done before Wishes you can walk around the Contemporary and later on go back to the 2nd floor check-in, show them your reciept from your meal and they will let you back up to watch Wishes.

So if I have a reservation for 7.35 next week, Wishes is at 8, we can probably nip out to watch the fireworks between appetiser and entree? Will they be ok with that? When I booked at 180 days there was no help available because there were no park hours or anything!!

I would imagine if your reservation is at 7.35pm, once you get seated and have time to look at the menu and order drinks, you will probably be able to watch them before your appetisers are ready. Or you can always view from your table if you have a window seat. But we prefer to go outside.

They really are good at the Cali Grill and they will make sure your meal comes out at an appropriate time.:thumbsup2

Phew - it's DBFs surprise 30th birthday trip for just the 2 of us - he really wanted to try here and I love Wishes so it could be the perfect romantic evening for both of us!! Thank you for your help!!

At California Grill they are well used to having fireworks begin at all stages of anyone's meal.
We always book 1 hour ahead of the fireworks. Assuming we've been seated anywhere near on time, we are somewhere in the middle of our meal when the fireworks begin.
