California Grill - Reservation After Fireworks

I'm about a week late to booking a reservation for the California Grill for an upcoming March trip so I missed out on my ideal times. However, there is a dining reservation for 9pm on a night when fireworks are at 9pm in the MK. I know that if you have an early dining reservation you can go back up to see the fireworks. Does the same apply if you have a late reservation? Would they allow us to go up to view the fireworks before we'd be seated?

It'll totally depend on whether there's space for you up there.

1. Keep checking. We've almost always have been able to snag a time to 20-30 minutes before the fireworks if that's what you're looking for.

2. We've had a reservation time for the same time as fireworks before. We've checked in about 20 minutes before our time, went upstairs, grabbed a drink from the bar, and waited on the walkway, and watched the fireworks. Never had an issue. It's our favorite place !

Just arrive a bit early. You will get checked-in and they will give you the alarm to let you know when your table is ready. You can then walk out to the viewing area. We have done this lots and lots and it is not a problem.

Thanks. Last visit we arrived early and were actually seated almost 25 minutes ahead of time. That was going to be the plan this time as well if no more opportune reservation times pop up. Seems like it'll work out, though.

Our Cali Grill ADR is one we show up at least 30 minutes before. Normally we'll go up and get a drink from the bar and head outside to enjoy the views. We have yet to have any problems. Sometimes we even get seated about 15-20 minutes before our actual ADR time.

There are but 18 seats at the bar, so don't count on getting a seat.

But as has been said, arrive a bit early and they will let you up.
