Is the california grill on the DDP? This will be our first time using the plan and thought we might try this one if it is. Also how hard is it to get ressies for window tables for wishes? Thanks in advance.

CG is part of the DDP but it takes two table service credits to eat at this signature restaurant.

As for watching Wishes from your table, we have never had a table up against the window, it is a very very busy restaurant. But, your server will hold your food etc. while you go outside on the viewing platform to watch Wishes! It is awesome from out there.:goodvibes

In fact if you call to make ressies they will not guarantee a window seat. We didn't even ask...we just went to the outside balcony. It was wonderful. It is one of the few times on Disney property that I wished I had an SLR camera with a zoom lense. You just can't get great photos with a point and shoot camera.

Actually we were told that we could not request a window table...that it was first come first serve in regards to the window. But the interesting thing is...they never seem to open up. What I am saying is that people sit down for a 6:00 dinner and they wait it out to see the fireworks...so they may be there 4 hours. We had 6:45 rsvp and all the window seats were full and they did not leave until we had left. But I will tell you that even though we did not sit by a window...we still had a nice time.

Another option if Wishes is late in the evening is, you can dine earlier and leave. As long as you show your receipt at the check in desk they will let you back up for the fireworks.

I have dined here 3 times and each time gotten a window seat however we prefer to go outside to watch the show (once we used the above method).

Unfortunately, as Allensfan indicates, many folks who have a window seat (no matter how early they arrive) tend to sit in place nursing iced tea and coffee until Wishes starts. The best you can do is go and request a window seat. If you don't get one, just go out on the observation deck. It's how we prefer seeing the fireworks--we don't even request window tables.

We just made March 7th Friday night ressies 3 days ago - I was shocked as I was just calling to check but didn't expect it
