I called to make additional ADR a few days ago and was surprised to be asked for my CC to reserve CG. We ate there last Sept. and didn't have to give one. I guess this is a recent change. :confused3 . I booked Thurs. 9/14 at 7:30 (love to watch the fireworks from up high! :goodvibes ). If we don't show up and fail to cancel ADR 24 hrs. before , we'll be charged $20 each ($60) for no-show! And that's with free dining. So, I'll have to make sure I cancel if our plans change while we are there. Luckily our ADR is for 5th night there so I won't have to worry about cancelling before we leave home!

Now that I've add ADR's, here's the list (for now)

Kona dinner* 9/10
Prime Time dinner 9/11
Park Faire 1900 dinnner 9/12
San Angel Inn lunch 9/13
Le Cellier dinner 9/13
California Grill dinner* 9/14
LTT dinner (MNSSHP)* 9/15
Rose and Crown dinner (Illuminations)* 9/16
Brown Derby dinner*-Non-Fantasmic 9/18
Park Faire-DD 7th birthday breakfast* 9/19

I got every ADR I asked for. The * are the ones I just booked a couple days ago. I booked the others a few months ago. I still don't have anything for 9/17. Might book Kona for dinner again-my DM loves it! :lovestruc

Boy, are we going to eat like pigs! :rotfl2:

:rotfl: I have been saying the same thing. I can not believe the amount of food we will available to eat. And to think their is a premium plan that includes popcorn:: even more food per day. :confused3 :lmao: My mom couldn't believe all the food we had last year and we didn't do nearly as many sit down meals as we will this year on the dining plan. I can't wait to see what she thinks this year. :rotfl:

I am glad they are making these sort of changes. As ducklite mentioned in another thread, if only all restaurants would enforce a similar policy, it would make ADRs more readily available for all, and discourage double/triple/etc. bookings that seem to be happening with greater frequency these days.

Wow, have a great time. You got a great list going on!

That's good news. Now if all the other WDW resturants will also follow suit, perhaps those who make reservations without making plans ahead of time to be there will think twice before keeping others from making reservations who do intend to actually show up.

The only thing I would suggest to the California Grill is that they make the time requirement a bit longer. Say a week ahead of time to receive a refund.

Enjoy.

Actually if you cancel your ADR within 24 hours of your time your won't be charged. If you do not show up OR cancel with less than 24 hours notice then you are charged $20 per person. They take a CC and "hold it" only charging on it on you ADR date. (if no show)
