My Dbf and I went in May, and our ADR was for 9:40 (Wishes was at 10 that night). I was worried about not getting seated before the show started, so we showed up around 9:15-9:20 and were seated right away in the wine room, which was much quieter than the main area -- if you're looking for a quieter atmosphere, I definitely recommend asking if you can be seated here. The servers were very attentive, asking us if we planned on going out to watch the fireworks or not, and advising us as to how to order so that our food wouldn't come right before we went out to watch. They offered to hold our dinner order until the show started, which worked out wonderfully. So basically, it depends on how many courses you plan on ordering and when in your meal you want to take a break to watch the fireworks. They'll make every effort to accomodate you, and if you end up going too early to stick around and watch the fireworks, your dinner receipt will get you back up there to watch (or at least that's what I've heard). We also got to see the electric water parade out of the window as it went by -- something I remember from my childhood visits, but hadn't planned on seeing -- which was a nice treat.
As far as the food goes, I wasn't overly impressed. The flatbread appetizer was good, but not outstanding. Dbf got the sushi sampler, which he said was good -- the california rolls were made with real crab and some of the best I've ever tasted. I got the halibut, and was really disappointed. It was overly salty and made my tongue tingle in a weird way. In addition, the vegetables it was served on were impossible to cut with the knife provided, and too big to eat gracefully without cutting them. We got the chocolate cake for dessert, which was good -- not overly sweet or heavily frosted, and served with a yummy ice cream, if I remember correctly. Overall, I would say I thought the food was good, but not amazing, and certainly not of the quality I would have expected. But I could have just gotten a bad meal, seeing as the rest of our dinner was pretty good.
