We are eating at the California Grill for the first time in 2 weeks.

I would love to hear what your favorites are. We are definitely ordering some sushi.

The sushi is a great choice, enjoyed the Tuna and Salmon. I have enjoyed the Beef Filet and Pork Tenderloin. The deserts are also great. Wines are a fairly good selection.

jtbdas is so right about all of those choices. We have tried all of those except for the salmon. I don't think there is a bad choice at CG. :teeth:

We ate at CG for the first time this past Sept. and just loved it. You have to try one of there flatbreads, they are great. My wife had the portobello mushroom ravoli & I had the pork tenderloin. They were both fantastic dinners, my tenderloin was tender enough to cut with a fork. We had a window table overlooking Cindy's castle so that was great, since it was my wife's birthday. You will not be disapointed, CG is a great place to dine.

We were there a couple weeks ago. They had a sushi sampler platter that DH loved. I had goat cheese ravioli for an appetizer. For dinner DH had sesame crusted tuna in a wasabi broth served with a tempura role. It looked great. I had the pork tenderloin, which as someone else said was very good. It was served with polenta. In past trips I've had the beef tenderloin dish and it was always outstanding. This time we were seated in the wine room. Our server inquired if we would want to go on the balcony to watch the fireworks show and when we said yes he held our meals until after the show was over. Dinner in the Wine Room was really nice, no MK view but lovely view of the lake and very quiet compared to the rest of the place.

I've never eaten anything there that wasn't fabulous.

I enjoy their flatbreads as an appetizer and their wine selection (even by the glass) is great!

enjoy...don't be afraid to ask the server for suggestions...they are all very knowledgeable and won't steer you wrong. :)

Looks like I'm just jumping on the bandwagon--the Pork and the Filet are excellent, and the flatbreads as an appetizer are also great!!

Pork Tenderloin is FAB!!!

if you are a wine drinker...get the Cheatu St Michelle Erotica...VERY GOOD..and now I am hooked on it!

Ok I am giving you some advice if this is your first sushi expericence. If it is not then please disregard all of this. The best sushi in the world (not just disneyworld) is at CG.

If it is your first time to try a type of sushi then you may want to try a Roll. Anykind will be good. Traditionally sushi is just a piece of fish on rice. A roll is fish and other ingredients surrounded my a seaweed wrap or rice or both. I prefer rolls. But you may enjoy plain sushi!!

We love CA Grill! We tried sushi there for the first time, our waitress was very helpful in helping us select our choices. Be sure to ask if they are serving anything not on the menu. We were able to get 3 different kinds of CA rolls even though only one of them was on the menu. Also be sure to save room for dessert!

Another bandwagon jumper here! :D I have had the filet which was cooked to perfection and oh so tender. The tamarind glaze was a little overpowering so next time I would request for it to be put on the side. The pork tenderloin is WONDERFUL! Enjoy!

Went to CG back in 97. Don't know if it is still on the menu, but if you are a dessert lover (I look at dessert first....;) ), you must order the chocolate peanut butter souffle....it is TO DIE FOR....mmmm!!!! I remember having to order it before we even ordered our dinner, because it took that long to prepare.

The food was fantastic! Enjoy!

Can you make a PS at the CG for just dessert? We will be staying at the CR and he might be fun to just go up for one of the desserts.

Sure - you can make a PS for as much or as little food as you like at any WDW restaurant. :) Plus, the CG has a very nice bar with friendly bartenders - if you don't pick a Friday or Saturday night, you could probably just walk in and get dessert at the bar without a PS.

I REALLY wished I could jump on this bandwagon but can't. It was our last meal at the world and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't on par with Citricos or Flying Fish or Artist Point either.

I am a hard core sushi lover (eating things most white people wont eat) and their sushi was mediocre. Nothing spectacular and not that fresh. The ginger was dried out. I had the tuna sampler and I didn't finish it. My DB loves sushi as well and wasn't impressed.

The food was above average (I'd rank them #6 overall - "V&As, Citricos, Artist Point, Jiko & Flying Fish making the other 5) but they have fallen off my come back list for the next trip so I can try some other places.

A pity. I was really looking forward to it. (Food reviews to follow shortly)
