Is it possible to go to the bar without reservations? Also, we'll have my 15 year old granddaughter with us.

It’s a popular spot. Capacity is limited. You have to check w the podium folks if there is room or not. If so, they will escort you up. Monday 5 pm? Probably no issue. Saturday night at 7? May be a problem.

We have never been able to get one after 7 PM.

Definitely plan on going close to open and your changes are much better

When we have been there around 8 or 9, the lounge area is packed with people grabbing any seat that becomes available.
If you are going earlier in the night, you chances are much better. People will eat their entire dinner at the lounge tables. Same menu as California Grill.
