I am so excited:banana:I just made ADR's for the CG at 9:20 for DH and I we are on the DXDP. My questions is were is the best place to see the fireworks? I have never been to the CG, I have read some posts that have talked about the balcony, but can you see the fireworks from your seat at the table or would it be more romantic if we go out to the balcony? On the night we will be there the fireworks are schedule to be at 10:00. One month from today and DH and I will be happy dancing at Disney with no kids.:hyper:

:goodvibes Yes there is a huge balcony out side and the fireworks are terrific. It depends on where your table is inside, but the wait staff are super about letting you enjoy them outside. We always go to the balcony. Just remeber it can get kinda windy up there. They pipe the music in so you don't miss a single thing. If you time it right, some nights you can see MK fireworks and Epcot fireworks. The time that we saw Epcot ,our table was on the side of the restaurant oposite MK. So we could see MK outside and E from the inside just over the tree line. It is a must do for us every year. The flatbreads are fantastic, and they had a house zifindel that was really good, only one glass of course. :)

When you check in at the podium downstairs request a table on the MK side. If you are lucky you may even get a table next to the windows. The view from inside and the balcony is nice, although we usually prefer going out on the balcony. Word to the wise though-if you are going out on the balcony, people filter out there well before the fireworks start so if you wait until just a few minutes before things start, you could find it wall to wall people out there. Viewing Wishes from CG is my favorite even over viewing it in the park. Have fun! :goodvibes

Thanks for the info. I am doing the happy dance.

1) Plan to go to the balcony.
2) With 9:20pm ressies, getting a table is almost impossible.
3) People get in 1-1½ hrs early and stay at their table to see fireworks.

Very true. OP-If the fireworks are 10pm on your night I'd be trying for an ADR time between 8:30-9pm. I do exactly what this poster says...we go early and we hang at the table-of course by then we have just finished dessert, so we really haven't hung out, but you get the idea.

we have ressies @ 6:00 but the fireworks go off @ 10. a friend of mine just got back and they had early ressies and they said they told them to hang on to their receipt and they could come back up to view the fireworks at 10!! will they let you just hang out there and have wine until the fireworks?

Yes, you can go back up and get yourself a drink at the bar and then go out onto the balcony and hang out until the fireworks. Word to the wise...people start congregating out there well before they start so get out there early. Its definitely an awesome view-I enjoy it much more out on the balcony than I do even at a window seat right near the MK.

You cannot be guaranteed a window table. That close to the start time for fireworks, anyone who already has a window table is likely to hang onto it. Plan to watch from the balcony.

Do you plan on hanging at your table for four hours? I don't know if you'd be prevented from doing that, but it seems excessive.

The bar area is quite small, but if you can find room you could probably spend a couple of hours there, although I personally don't think the fireworks are cool enough to sit there for that long. Especially if you have your 7 year old with you. There won't be much for little kids to do.

Or, you can keep the reciept and come back.

When we ate there in December we were lucky enough to get a prime spot - the table overlooking MK closest to the drink refill area/door to the balcony! We didn't have to get up from our table to go outside, which was great because it was actually quite chilly and very windy that night!!
