California Grill and fireworks

Hi all - I'm going to disney next friday for our 20th anniversary. I made dinner reservations for California Grill at 7:30 pm as the operator told me the fireworks were at 9 pm. She turned out to be wrong and it's 10 pm for the fireworks. There are no more reservations left till 10 pm.

I had this romantic image of dinner at a window seat with fireworks, but 2 1/2 hours is a long time to hang out there for the works.

Any thoughts or suggestions? I chose california grill as it seems to be the restaurant with the most consistent raves.

Hello and welcome!

On our last trip, we had a similar problem. WDW changed the time for Wishes after we made our PS. We kept calling and were finally able to change it.

Well--you hve several options. You could just keep trying to change your PS time. Or you could eat reasonably slowly and just wait at the bar until fireworks start. Often when CG is busy, there may be a wait for your table even with a PS. One Saturday nite a few trips ago, we had PS for 8:00 and weren't even seated until 9:00!!
An alternative restaurant would be Narcoosee's--not as good a view, but out on their porch the view is quite good.
Oh--if you do decide on CG and are unable to get that window table, don't despair. The view is great by just walking out on the observation deck just off the restaurant.
