Annas,
Sometime it cost more $$ to use a shuttle service than to rent a car. If your are staying in a place that is close to DL or has a shuttle service to the parks you definetly don't need a car. If you are planning on seeing other areas of So Cal then a car is a must. If you are just doing DL, I would look into a shuttle to and from the ship and DL. DL and CA are literally steps away from each other with DTD off to the side. We usually do both parks when we go because DL gets too crowded for us and it's a nice break over at Ca Adventure. It probably is cheaper to just have the rental car than to try and shuttle it all those times. Now that I've totally confused you I'll let someone else try to answer!!
