Will DVC owners be able to use points for the California cruise. If so, has anything been posted?

Yes we would like to know also. Mu concern is that once the information is released and also waiting fior the 11 month window there may not be much left!!

We were able to use them on the 10 day Christmas Cruise this year. I had to call DVC and get the points from them.

Remember though, that the booking window is 11 months out. If you are planning on a 7 day, the rooms may be all booked by the time you can use points.

What I did on the Christmas Cruise was I paid a deposit and booked through DCL with the 4 rooms and then when the 11 month window opened, I called DVC and I told them I had a cash reservation and I wanted the stateroom I had already booked so we cancelled the cash room and then rebooked it with points for DH and I and paid cash for DD.

The only thing I didn't like was I had to pay for DD in full at time of booking with DVC.

Hope that helps.

A slight side note: Have you checked the points for 2005? I spoke with MS a few weeks ago and was shocked! It appears for Cat6 & 9 they went up approximately 50 points per person! Sorry if this is a repeat/old info. :)

Thanks. Did DVC cancel the ressies for you or did you have to call seprately for that? Was it a pain to do that? I agree about the cash upfront, we had to do that once.

DCL moved my cash reservation to a another stateroom while DVC was on the phone with them, and then when I hung up, I turned around, called DCL and cancelled the original reservation. It took no more than 5 minutes total. Not a problem at all.

Thanks for the information. I guess we may book a room to hold a spot.
