southern california city pass is it worth it or not
i will be in california for 7 nights
i will not be staying on proptery
i will be in either a hotel or vacation rental
should i get a city pass or just a 3 day hopper to disneyland
is it worth to take my folks to universal & sea world
my kids are 5 & 2

The adult citypass is 20 something more than the 3 day park hopper. I say as long as you use one of the other park admissions you have it's a no brainer cause you will be saving close to $60 per adult. If you use both you save over $100! It think these parks are always nice to see as long as you have the extra time to visit them.

If you haven't been to a Sea World it's worth a visit, the kids will definitely like it.

Universal is only ok for little kids.

Been to USH many times and I really do not think it is a park for small kids, really aimed at the teens and older.

We will be using the City Pass for our trip next month. For us it's definitely worth it since this is our first trip to CA and we want to see as much as possible (while spending as little as possible):)Like Pp said, even if you only use it for one additional park, it will save you money.

I totally think the City Pass is worth it. We are getting it for our trip in the fall and I cannot wait for my kids to see SeaWorld and Universal Studios, and, of course, we are super excited to do Disneyland again!! :cool1:

You also may consider purchasing the pass from either SeaWorld or Universal. If you purchase from them, you get an extra day at the park you purchased from. I bought ours from SeaWorld online and we get an extra day at SeaWorld for free!

I just bought our CityPass. We bought online, since that way you can add the San Diego Zoo onto the pass (saving money there, also!). From everything I could tell, if you want the 3-day Disney pass and want to do either Sea World or Universal, you will save money with the CityPass.

Also, when I ordered my Citypass, I got a discount code to use on Cirque du Soliel's Iris show! We are planning to see it, so that will save us even more!

If you buy a citypass, can you add days to the Disneyland hopper? We would like to be there at least 5 days.

Thanks!
:flower3:

Yes you can you pay the difference or the 5 day hopper $290 and the value of the DLR portion of the CityPass, which I think is $219. I'm not sure $219 is right.

Hi there,
Sorry this is a little delayed, but you get a credit of $214 for an adult CityPASS and $189 for a child (3-9) CityPASS toward an upgrade to a more expensive Disneyland ticket. Hope that helps!
