California adventure hotel

HI,

We are seasoned disneyland GO'ers but this will be our first time staying at the California adventure hotel. We reserved a premium view room. Does anyone know what we could request so we can see the world of color???

I assume you mean the Grand Californian Hotel

The best views of WOC are from DVC villas, and those views are not very good.
There is a viewing patio on the 6th floor, and some hotel rooms have a similar view. The maps linked in my signature show all the villas and hotel rooms in that area of the hotel. x240 - x260 (even numbers) on the 5th and 4th floors will have a partial view of WOC.

You might consider requesting to be near the elevators adjacent to Napa Rose, which provides the most convenient to the DCA entrance

Bur if you really want a great view of World of Color, then choose Paradise Pier and request a theme park view room. It is the least expensive of the three Disney Hotels, and while many think it is not "Disney" enough, it is very nice. And just a short walk across the street and through the Grand Califonian where you can use their entrance into California Adventure.

You don't have a direct view of World of Color from any rooms really, and not from the the 6th floor balcony.

We usually get Park View Rooms and take the kids to get ready then walk down and use the DCA entrance to go watch.

Even if you go for Park View rooms in Paradise Pier, while you do get a nice view of World of Colour, you are seeing it from the back, so you do miss a lot of detail. If you've never seen it before, I would recommend going into the park to see it in person. But it is lovely to unwind in your room in the evening while watching it from above
