Does anyone know if you are there during the fireworks do they still pipe in the music?? And if so what time do you suggest I make a ressie to be there to see them. Are they still at 9:30 and would an 8 or 8:30 ressie get us there to see them? We did it years ago and then we walked out on the balcony and it was really cool.

Thanks in advance for any info!!

Any reservation that is an hour prior to fireworks should be fine. Even 90 minutes. Going out to the balcony is the way to do it.

awesome rw. Thanks. Glad to hear they still do it!!

When we were there they did have the music piped in. We went out on the balcony for most of it, but could see it from our table as well. Our reservation was 1.5 hours before the fireworks started and it was perfect. When we got back to our table after being out on the balcony, our dessert was waiting for us.

For my family of three adults, the average three-course Signature meal takes between 90 and 120 minutes. So the timing of the ADR really depends on whether you want to be between courses or finished with your meal during fireworks. I generally agree that anytime from about an hour to 90 minutes before fireworks is slated to start is a good time for the ADR, as long as you aren't hoping/planning on a fireworks viewing window table. For those tables, you tend to have to make an even earlier ADR (>2 hours) and be prepared to prolong your meal as much as possible.

Fireworks time can vary so check the schedule for the night you want to dine at CG. For example, in February Wishes will be at 8, 9 or 10 PM depending on the date.

I agree that a reservation 60 - 90 minutes before Wishes is a good time depending on how long it takes you to eat and whether you want to be finished dining or between courses. Typically it takes us about 90 -120 minutes for a 3 course meal at CG so we are usually between entree and dessert when we watch Wishes. Actually it's a nice break between the two courses.

The music and soundtrack are piped in for fireworks both in the dining room and out on the decks.

Thanks Figment. I made my ADR this morning and all that was available was 7 or 9:05. Glad I picked 9:05 cuz wishes is at 10 that night. So it is perfect!! :)

9:05 sounds ideal. Assuming you are seated approx on time, you could probably order, have a pre-dinner drink or the appetizer, then go out on the deck. After the fireworks you'll be able to enjoy your entree and dessert. :)

If you get an early reservation, you can leave and come back up for the fireworks. My reservation was for 7:20. We were finished about an hour before the Fireworks. We went downstairs and looked at the shops, then went back up.

Thanks I actually got 9:05 which is really late for us to eat but prob perfect for the fireworks. I am an early riser and usually eat at like 6 11 and 5 LOL so it will be hard eating that late but as I told my mom we will have to get a snack around 5 so we are not famished. I am super excited though to do this again. We really enjoyed it the last time we did it so looking forward to doing it again. :)

1) Maybe.
2) Maybe not.
3) All depends upon how many others want to stay at their table for fireworks.
4) WDW can't control how long people linger at their table.
5) I always recommend an ADR at least 1½-hrs before the fireworks

I actually got 9:05 which worked out because apparently the fireworks are at 10 that night so it's all good :)
