Thoughts about booking California Grill for dessert only....has anyone done this?

Many people have done it. It's a popular restaurant for its location and its varied menu offerings. The staff there are accustomed to seeing people who order a single course rather than the full meal. We didn't order entrées on our last visit and our server was very gracious and accommodating. In fact, I'd say he was the best, most helpful server we encountered on the whole vacation.

Yes. But I would only do it at the bar or lounge area. I wouldn't occupy a table just for a glass of wine and a dessert. Not saying that it isn't allowed, but I just wouldn't do it.

Agree with both PP's

I even remember the server's name

Bill from Cleveland, OH was one of the nicest servers i ever had. This was also my favorite restaurant in WDW

Yea the deserts are great even for the kids but i wouldn't occupy a table for it. bar/lounge i would do it.

The desserts are delish! However, my DH would never walk into that place for just dessert. It is his most favorite place to eat dinner in all of WDW. I agree with pp's, go & enjoy a drink & dessert at the bar/lounge area. We always like to book so we will be there to watch fireworks at MK. You will love California Grill no matter what you order. :goodvibes
