We have reservations for CG on an 8pm Wishes night (my birthday!). Our reservations are for 7:30.

I have a feeling our table won't be ready at 7:30, or even by 8 from what I've read here.

Will we be able to go up into the restaurant and watch the fireworks from the balcony while we wait for our table?

If you ask to wait in the bar, they should take you up.

If you check in at 7:30, they will definitely let you go up. All three times we've been there, they've said it'll be a 20 minute wait, but you can go up, we went up, and 5 minutes after we got up, the buzzer went off.

You will have no trouble getting there before and they will have no problem with you going out to view the show from the balcony. We were there on xmas night and had 9:20pm adr and wishes was 9pm. We went up at 8:45 and our table was ready in 5 minutes, but when we were seated, the cm told us we could go out and watch and she would wait to take our orders for as long as we wanted. Half of us went out to watch and the other half stayed at the table,( we had a great view). they do pipe in the music into the resaturant. The meal is extremely leisurely, just to let you know..we did not leave until 11pm.
