Which has the best sushi? Biggest selection? Are they all the basic size portion? Are there any places I'm forgetting? Thanks!!

I think that I heard once that Kimonos in The Swan hotel has a pretty extensive sushi menu. Wolfgang Puck Cafe also has a sushi selection. I can't speak for quantity/quality at any thought as this will be our first trip.

First, hi JessicaKnits, and Go Packers!

Second, I don't have an answer to OP's question, but I'll be interested to hear the responses. We were trying to decide between Tokyo Dining, Kona and Cali Grill for our upcoming trip, and we chose Cali Grill. I think we'll be happy with our choice, but I look forward to more responses!

The sushi at CA Grill is fabuloso! And it has the nicest atmosphere of the three. I've dined at Kona once and Ohana once and the throngs of people absolutely everywhere made it feel like a fast food eatery.

I'm a bit of a sushi addict, and can't go without it for a whole week at the World. :) I've had sushi at CG, Tokyo Dining, and Kimono's at the Swan, and Kimono's is my new go-to sushi bar at Disney.
In my experience, the sushi at CG is good, but with a very limited menu. Tokyo dining is OK sushi, but with a somewhat limited menu, and many things have been adjusted to appeal to the less-adventurous. Kimono's is a full-service, full-menu sushi bar. They have a great selection: everything you'd expect, plus a few house specialties.

Fair warning: they do karaoke every night, and if you have too much to drink you might get talked into embarrassing yourself on stage. (go on, ask me how I know that... :drinking1 )

I suspect I will eventually make it to Kona Island, but I've read that they have a limited selection as well.

I've had sushi at both CG and Kimonos. CG's sushi was wonderful! That being said, if you're going somewhere just for or mainly for sushi, then definitely pick Kimonos. Like a PP said, it has a full sushi menu. And it was delicious! Definitely make the trip over there (it helps because we stay at the Swan so it's just downstairs from us! :cool1:) Kimonos is the best pick, IMO.

The sushi at the bar at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe is heavenly. The best sushi I have ever eaten in 43 years of life.

During the week, they have a happy hour with half price sushi. At least, they did last August. My brother in law, who is 63, said he would drive for 14 hours from his home just to eat that sushi. It was that good!

I didn't like the sushi at Tokyo Dining. It was not good.

I haven't done any research on Kimonos or Wolfgang Puck. Are they on the DDP? Do you need ADR's for them in January?

I'm pretty sure Kimonos is NOT on DDP. I don't think they take reservations either, but when I went this past January I was seated immediately at walk up. Mind, I was there a bit later in the evening (9pm-ish I think), so it may have been more crowded earlier.

Will be trying the sushi at Kona and CG this trip and cant wait! Been craving sushi for last couple of days anyway...LOL
