Cali Grill or Citricos?

I'm so torn between these two restaurants. I like the menu of Citricos and my DH likes the menu of Cali Grill. Which one has better food quality and service? We should be finished eating before the MK fireworks so we're not taking that into account.

Oooh. That's a tough one. I prefer Citricos but we eat later (8pmish) and Citricos is a more adult, upscale environment at that hour while CA Grill is overrun with people waiting for fireworks. Food is great at both, service should be great at both.

Thanks for your replies. It'll be me, DH and DD15 at the time. I'm leaning more towards Citricos also. It's just not mentioned very often on the dis, either that or I spelled it wrong in the search.

Nah, it's just not mentioned much. It doesn't have the bells and whistles that some of the other signature spots have (like a fireworks view) but I think the food was one of the best we've had at Disney to date. It's an undiscovered gem, IMO.

That's a toss-up really. But CG is still my all-time favorite Disney restaurant. The quality and selection from the top of the menu through the dessert offerings cannot be matched anywhere on property.

We ate at both on the trip we just took and I'd have to say that Citricos was the better of the two - CA Grill was good but Citricos knocked it out of the park.

I am a huge fan of Citrico's, prefer that over CG anyday. I cannot say enough about the service and the quality of the food at Citrico's, it keeps me coming back each visit to WDW..

Another vote for Citricos! It's my 2nd favorite restaurant in Disney behind Le Cellier

Wow, sounds like an overwhelming lean towards Citrico's. Of all the signature restaurants, we've only eaten at Narcoossee's. If it's anything like that, we'll be very pleased indeed!

It's far superior to Narcoossee's.

OK...I'm drooling now. My DH has reconsidered the menu and now, after these responses, is really looking forward to this!

I think you'll be pleased. It'll certainly be a much more relaxed meal than at CG.

I vote for Citricos by far. Calif Grill has gone downhill with the food and the noise level is very high. Also had the feeling we were being 'rushed' to get out of there. Citricos has excellent service in addition to fine food and the bartender can make anything you ask for - he is really the BEST!

I certainly enjoy Citrico's far mor than CG. CG is great for a view of the fireworks and the food/service is good but Citrico's, IMHO, has better food and service. Wine list might be about the same.
Atmosphere in Citrico's is a bit more quiet and probably more relaxed.
Both would be fine choices but I think Citrco's is a full level above CG.
