Has anyone recently visited California Grill and brought back a menu or remembers some of the menu items? I know the menu changes every few weeks, and allears only has a January menu. Since we're eating there in a couple weeks, I'd like to have an idea of what's on the menu :goodvibes

Ohh ohh, is the molten lava cake still served for dessert?? :mickeybar

We ate there last week and I had the molten lava cake for dessert, so yes, it's still on the menu!

I believe the lava cake is always on the menu, in some version or another. There are a few dishes that don't change much. There's always the pork tenderloin with polenta and mushrooms, always a filet, a cheese plate of some sort, and a four cheese and tomato flatbread.

I love, love, love the pork tenderloin! I get it everytime I am there and always cross my fingers that it will be on the menu!

I should mention that the current version of the molten lava cake is different than the version described on Allears which lists it as: "Chocolate Lava - Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake with molten center, Scotch caramel and white coffee ice cream". The current version is with a minty sauce and mint ice cream. I was disappointed to see that because I do not like mint ice cream and had been looking forward to trying the white coffee ice cream. They no longer have that available but they did have cinnamon ice cream (which they serve with another of their desserts) so they made mine with chocolate sauce and cinnamon ice cream and it was great!

What a shame, the white coffee ice cream was delicious.

Maybe I'll try the pork tenderloin this time around. Last time I had the beef filet and the time before I had err some sort of crab...both items were great.
I might even give the sushi a try, I've been hearing good things about it :)

DS (16) loved the sushi there. He said it was the best of the trip (Japan pavillion twice, Wolfgang Puck's & Cali. Grill)

I wish I had brought back the menu in April. There were some delicious apps on there for Spring - A colossal Asparagus and a Beets with Goat Cheese.... Yum!

we're going next week and i can hardly wait. the last time i was there i got the filet. this time i'm gonna have to try the pork. :cool1:
