Hi, I'll be having my birthday dinner at the Cali Grille in one month and I can't wait. I have a few questions about the dress code, though. It says no tank tops. Would a nice sleeveless top be allowed? I think it would, but don't want to get there and be denied access. Also, I want to dress nicely for dinner, but we are also headed back to the MK for EMH right afterwards. What do you wear that is appropriate for both the CG and MK? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, a nice sleeveless top will be fine. They'd prefer you don't wear your stained cotton tank top with your armpit hair hangout out (but would probably seat you anyway if you do, since Disney is more about ASKING you to dress to their code than REQUIRING you to do so).

ETA: For these occations I do pretty much what you are doing - a nice "blousy" type of tshirt, polo shirt with a collar, or sleeveless shirt - and a skort or above the knee skirt. I look dressy enough that I don't feel strange at a signature place, but am still park comfortable.

You are fine with what you are talking about.

Capris, flats, even sneakers would be fine. Bermuda shorts would work as well.

The dress code is suggested and as long as you don't show up in a swimsuit I think you are good to go.

Happy Birthday!
Your sleeveless top is fine. How about Capri's. I did. I wore kaki's ones.

Lol, I could have written this post except for the time frame- I'll be there this Sunday (!) for my birthday (technically "birthday eve" but the scheduling worked out better) and will be going to EMH afterward.

I'm wearing a sleeveless blouse and brown linen capri pants, and some nice sandals that are still comfy to walk around in. I'm bringing a light sweater in case of hyperactive AC, so if they complain about the "tank top" I'll just throw that out.

And for the record, I will not have armpit hair hanging out ;)

Thanks everyone! It's no fun to stress over what you are going to wear, especially in Disney World!
