Cali Grill ADR @ 9:30PM - Too late?

Hello everyone, I have an ADR for Cali Grill at 9:30PM on my birthday, is this going to be too late for Wishes? Should I have made an earlier one, I hear that people tend to linger and am thinking it may be too late and we'll miss the fireworks!

I think you should be fine, just ask for a table by the window so you can see wishes when it comes on.

I hope so, I heard that people linger during their meal so the fireworks would be over before we were seated. Does the window seat request need to be put on my ADR or can I just request it when I get there?
Also, do they do anything special for birthdays?

We were there Easter week and had 9:50 reservations. We thought it was way too late, but that's all they had. We showed up around 8:30 and asked if we could be seated before 9:50. They gave us a beeper and we sat at the bar. We only had enough time to order drinks before the beeper went off, so we were seated before 9:00. Not a window seat, but we went outside on the rooftop to see the fireworks at 10:00, between entrees and desserts, which was perfect timing. Most diners went outside for the fireworks, so I didn't feel like we missed out because we didn't have a window seat. All tables have a pretty good view of the castle, big windows.

It's a much better view outside on the viewing platform than it is in the restaurant, so it doesn't matter whether your seated or not. The wonderful thing is that if you are seated, they will hold your meal until you return to your table. The other great thing is that people are clearing out after the fireworks so you have more of a chance of a window seat which is still a beautiful view with the castle all lit up!
