I am going to annouce myself as the person who PM'd her this morning. I have been having some financial issue recently, and when I joined the exchange, I believed at the time that I wouldnt have any issues with it. I also informed our host that I was going to be away(this was something that was payed for by someone else in case someone wants to flame me.) and was told to just send when I got home. Well things really hit the fan so to speak while I was away, and now I am in the midst of filing for bankruptcy. I am having to cut out all types of expenses to try and get back on track, and also may be looking at a divorce too.

I PM'd the host as soon as I could, but didnt give details. What I received back was the most hurtful thing I have ever received on the DIS. I have been blacklisted from all future exchanges on the DIS. I understand if thats what needs to be done. I also want to apologize to the person who received my name. I havent received your calender yet, but I will gladly send it back to you when I receive it as I dont want to be accused of anything negative.

I always thought of the DIS as a happy friendly place. I have been welcomed here for the past 4yrs. I have met a lot of great people, and have only just recently particpated in the exchanges. After what I received today, I believe this isnt the place I once thought it was. I think it may be time for me to move on. I have laughed and cried with all of the other posters here on the boards, but I have never had a poster make me cry. Yes, your PM had me in tears, and I am as I type this. I may just be over emotional due to all of the stress I am under, who knows.

I will continue to lurk on the boards, but I believe may days of posting may be over for a while. Thanks to all those who have made each day special. I wish you all the best.

Since you aren't in a position to fulfill your side of the exchange, why not forward the calendar you recieve to the name your were sent.

I don't see a lynchmob gathering anywhere?!

It appears to me that this was originally handled privately via PM - and a full explanation was not given. This matter should have continued via PM and not been aired out publicly on the boards.

I can say that I have participated in exchanges in the past and sometimes had to wait for months in order to receive my exchange. A lot of people get burned and would not receive anything if it weren't for caring elves who step up to the plate.

I simply said that you would be added to the nonsenders list and that it was unfair to bow out so late....and as you said you knew you had problems before you left...you shouldn't have signed up.
Your calendar is on the way.....from Australia, so I don't think you will want to send it back.
I have had several elves step forward......even one not in this exchange

Can't remember if I'd indicated that mine had been shipped. Unfortunately not directly from me, but from Amazon, since I couldn't find the one I wanted to get a local store. So glad Amazon was there to keep me on track!
