Caleb's Wish trip!

Well it is finally time for our dinner with the Princesses at Akershus!

We got there a little early so we hung out in Norway and took a few pictures

They finally called our name and we go inside and first stop is to have a picture taken with Belle!

I only took one...they took 2 shots....1 with Aubree by herself and a family shot!
Then during dinner they brought us an 8X10 and 4 3X5's of each shot as a gift from Belle! Very nice!

They took our drink and entree orders and sent us off to the appetizer buffet! Well I think my kids filled up here...because they didn't eat much dinner! Of course Aubree was WAY TOO EXCITED to eat dinner!!

The Princesses just kept coming around! And she was just beaming with excitement!

Especially when her favorite Princess came to see her again!!!

I meant to take a picture of our entree's...but I forget!
BUT here is the dessert plate they bring you! YUMMY

We missed seeing the Epcot fireworks....but we saw the pretty colors out of the window!

It was a fun experience! I just wish the kids would have eaten more of their meals...that would have made me feel better for spending so much money!
But we took home doggie bags!

Emilee wanted to take our picture in front of the ball (but it didn't show up)

When we got home the gift fairy had left another present (I didn't want to spoil your surprise so I only took a picture of it closed)

And left Caleb's star finder info!
SO we can't wait to go find his star tomorrow!

All in all today turned out to be another great Disney day!
But it sure started out a mess!!
And I had some plans that again fell through (didn't get to ride horses or change into "Princess meeting clothes)
But looking back, none of that mattered to anyone but me!

Tomorrow is our last full day to visit a park! Will we choose Universal Studios, Island of Adventure, or Sea World?????

Love the photos and updates! I was so sorry to hear that Caleb didn't feel well and that Aubree had to go to urgent care. It was nice to hear that you got to spend some time enjoying GKTW and it looks like you still got everything accomplished at Epcot (which is impressive in one day). Looking forward to reading about your last park day and to seeing some photopass photos.

That is a great photo of you and your DH even without the ball showing up! Sounds like a fun dinner. And you are right, the kids enjoyed their day with how it turned out!

Today we decided to visit Island of Adventure!
We ate breakfast at GKTW....can't miss this for breakfast!

This sweet lady dressed up in different costumes while we were there...the kids just loved her!

Then we had to go find Caleb's star in the Castle of Miracles!
They have this special machine that lets you see your star up close on the ceiling!

Of course you can't visit the Castle of Miracles without playing around a bit!

And look who we ran into by the theater!!

Now off to IOA!

We rode a couple of rides

Then we are entering the Super Hero area! I stopped to ask a lady where the characters where and she said "Oh...step onto the curb" I thought WHAT? How did that answer my question...and not 10 seconds later this happens!

They got right off their bikes RIGHT in front of us and this happens

Now that was AWESOME!

But Caleb really wanted to meet Wolverine! So I was standing there looking around to see where he went (they scattered quickly as soon as they parked their bikes)
And this man asks "are you looking for me?" he was an employee standing there with a lady and her 2 sons. I said " I don't know...am I?" ( I had NO idea what he meant!!)
The lady said "say yes, say yes!!" SO I said "sure, I guess I am" He said "did you want a private meet and greet with the super heroes?"
Well YES!!!

So he took us and the other family (also a wish family) over to this area where we waited about 20 min for the super heroes!
SO worth the wait!!

Here they come!

And then this happens!

Aubree kinda liked Spiderman!

And I think he liked her too!

Then we took several of these!

That was AWESOME! They were all very friendly and caring! So touching!

Now onto more rides!
We rode several fun rides where we got totally soaked! Of course these were the rides we got to ride twice in a row!
But no complaints..we were having so much fun! (even though we were wet all the way to our undies!!)

Tom was kinda feeling this sign...so I had to take his picture!

(notice how wet his shirt is...you can see right through it)

We rode about every ride there!
Now Emilee and I are chickens...and we admit it! So we sat out of this one...it had an 80 foot drop!
But look closely at Caleb, Tom and Aubree in the front row!!

I LOVED Seuss Landing! Especially the train!

But it was starting to look like rain! So I suggested we stop for lunch...inside!! ( Circus McGurcus) Just as soon as we sat down with our food the bottom dropped out! Good call huh??

But after we came out the rides were closed because of nasty weather in the area! SO no character meets! but the kids had fun!

So we decided to walk over to Universal a see what it was like!
I loved how it was just a short walk over and we got to take the stroller and wheelchair to return over there!

We started off on the Jimmy Neutron ride. Now this type of ride makes me sick as a dog! So I rode with my eyes locked tight praying to not vomit!!

My husband and kids felt bad...and promised not to make me ride any more of those! Only problem is that many of the rides are like this...with some sort of movie (that is what makes me sick)
So we head to the Men in Black ride!
Now it is really starting to rain pretty hard! And as we are heading to the back of the park...most people are exiting the park!
That ride was SUPER FUN!
When we came out it was POURING DOWN RAIN!
So we decide to head home to get on some dry clothes and get ready for Christmas!!

What and where is that first ride? I have never seen it before.

The super heroes look awesome! What fun for Caleb (and the whole family). I love how Universal really seems great about this kind of stuff!

Circus McGurkus is my favorite place to eat! They used to have Grinch Roast Beast at christmas and it was to die for! No more but I still enjoy eating there!

Suess landing is the cutest. And the train is so so cute!

Oh, the water rides! They are the best water rides but you get drenched!! That is the only place I'll take us all an entire change of clothes!

Jurassic Park River Adventure is alot of fun. It is over before you know it. You would have enjoyed the ride. It doesn't seem as bad as Splash Mountain even.

We just all love Universal. I don't like those type of rides/shows either but I enjoy going and walking around and just skip the movie ones.

Can't wait to hear all about christmas!

I love the new updates. It is so great to see all of the kids so happy. I am glad that you were able to get everyone well enough to see some of the parks. The rain did not sound like fun. I look forward to more updates.

I know...I planned for months....but nothing seemed to go as planned..so I just gave up and went with the flow!
After that everything seemed to go a lot smoother! And I wasn't stressed about not sticking with "the plan". I think I am becoming a "fly by the seat of my pants" kinda gal in my old age!!

That's the way we like to do it too! Just go with the flow. I often joke that if everyone knew how little I planned, I would be kicked off the Dis!

We got back to the villa and put on some dry clothes...that felt nice!

First stop...to go see Santa!
The line wasn't too bad!
Here are the girls waiting...Caleb didn't want in the picture!

The kids and their toys! Caleb got a football with the Dallas Cowboys star on it.
And the girls both got Fur Real friend monkeys!

We loved the decorations!

Since the weather was still very unstable...there were no carriage rides, parade, or snow

So we went to dinner....and found Mrs. Claus!

After dinner we rode the carousel a few more times!

Tom made friends with the unicorn!

Then we went to have our final ice cream of the trip!
And they had cookie decorating in there!
That was fun!!

So after we made our cookies...we had a little ice cream!

Then off to our villa for our Mayor Clayton tuck in!!

The kids loved that! He was too funny!

We finally got the kids to bed and started packing everything up....so sad!
I was NOT ready to go home!!
It seemed to take forever for our trip to get here...and it went so very fast!!

I love the giant bunnies! I love when he tucks the kids in bed! It looks like he has so much fun doing it!

The christmas decorations are really cute. I assume they decorate each night differently or do they just leave them all week long? That would be alot of up and down.

LOVE the ice cream. YUM! You are making hungry.

Bummer to miss out on the snow but Santa looked like fun. I love the toy pictures.

Well I can't express how much we appreciate all the love that was poured out onto our family! My kids (and Tom and I) LOVED their outfits! And still wear them almost everyday at home! We feel very blessed!
So it was an honor to wear them!

The big bunny was very sweet! But he had HUGE feet and kept bumping into everything!!

Christmas was the only decorated night we saw...and they did set it up and take it down just for that night!
I am sure other events had decorations as well....but we missed them!
They do put in a lot of time and energy to make your time there very special and magical!!

Well today was a sad day....we have to go back home
WE have had such an AWESOME time and have felt truly blessed by this whole experience! I can't even begin to put words to it!


We loaded everything into the car and headed over for our last GKTW breakfast
It was yummy as always!

Then we had to visit the Castle of Miracle 1 last time.....and look who we ran into

We then went to check out of GKTW....so sad!
Our time just went WAY TOO FAST!
We will definately have to come visit again!
They gave us our check out packet with our passport...so neat!
We plan on visiting some of those places this summer!
It also had our photo cd and a star to put in a scrapbook! (just like the one on the ceiling)

We decided to shop at the Character outlet on our way to DTD one more time.
We were able to get the kids friends some inexpensive souvenirs at the outlet.
And I had to buy the kids each a Christmas ornament from the Christmas store!(at DTD)

So now we are off to the airport. We decided to just eat lunch at the airport.
So we find the rental car return place and begin unloading all of our many bags!
We left home with 2 large suitcases , a medical supply bag, and 2 carry ons.
We are returning with 2 large suitcases, a medical bag, and 5 carry ons!
We were like pack mules!!

So we eat our lunch, stop and potty, and head to our gate.
We had to sit on the floor by the terminal gate because it was so crowded. So we were kinda right in front of the gate sitting on the floor with ALL of these bags around us. Such a sight!

Caleb decided to pack his football from Santa in his carry on so he took it out and was looking at it when the pilot came up behind him and said "give me your football"....kinda sternly! Caleb just looked at him, then looked at me. He said it again.."hey kid give me the ball". I said "give it to him!"
So he told Caleb let's play catch!
So the pilot and Caleb began to play catch right there in the terminal!
He told Caleb "don't miss cause everyone is looking at you right now!"

They played catch for about 10 minutes! Then he came over and started talking to Tom and I.
Now we all had on our MAW shirts....but he didn't even notice until he was talking to me.
He asked if we were on a wish trip...I said we were and that Caleb was the wish kid!
He then said "you got a camera?" I said "yes"...he said "give it to me".
So he then proceeds to take Caleb and my camera off to see the cockpit!
Now Aubree was worried he would steal our camera...I said what about your brother??? ha ha!

So Caleb got to sit in the cockpit..he stayed gone about 10 min.!
And came back with this pic

Then he saw Caleb had some playing cards in his bag so he taught him some magic card tricks!
It was just so sweet of him to take such time "playing" with Caleb!
It really touched our hearts!

The flight home was pretty uneventful!

We made it home around 7:30...and we were pooped!
