calculator help!

i have a TI 36x calculator--i had a different one and just got this one to use on my math final. On my other calculator, you could turn a fraction into a decimal by hitting one of the buttons...so if i put in 1/2 and hit the button, it would come up .5
I need to find out how to do that on this calculator and i cant figure it out..does anyone have one that knows how?

There should be a button that says "3rd". Hit that, and then find the button that says "F<>D" and hit that. That oughta do it!

I might be misunderstanding what you are looking for, but I have it right, you are doing it the complicated way. If you have a fraction, lets say 1/2. You can type in 1 / 2. So it is like 1 divided by 2. That should give you the decimal form of a fraction.

Yes, couldn't you just divide one number from the other and get the same results without bothering wiht the function key.

I can't imagine a math final with a calculator.. it was alway pencil and paper for me!
