Read at another site that there is a rumor of Cal Scremain re-opening this weekend. Would make sense given the holiday crowds.

Anybody hear more?

I don't think it's up to Disney. Don't they need sign-off that the identified problems have been corrected?

That said, I have no idea if that sign-off has occured or is nearing.

From what I understand that portion has been done for some time.

I know they've been testing it recently, so it should be open soon.
I hope it opens soon, We are heading back down Nov 5 2005. a group of about 16 of us are heading down for a week of magic and adventure, and would love it if CS was open.
Any one hear what's up with the electric parade? Was disappointed to hear it wasn't going to be running when we are down there.
25 more days till the magic begins and dreams come true :Pinkbounc

They are in the final stages of testing and it will be open anyday. They will not release any information until the minute it opens because of leaks on the internet.

It was running without people yesterday when I was at California Adventure. I would love it if it opened by Friday, but not getting my hopes up.

Oh, my husband will be the happiest guy EVER! He has only been to DL once (when he was 5, so WAY before CA opened!) and was so disappointed when it was closed! Hope it's open in the next two weeks!

Cm working near by said on 10/9 that he heard a 10/11 date as re-opening.

I'm so excited! I can actually hear the "Pointer Sisters" singing right now.

For our Canadian Thanksgiving, I had to break out the "Mickey and the Beanstalk" record album from when I was a kid. My DD thought it was the biggest CD she had ever seen. Just before we ate the wonderful Turkey dinner, we listened to the "Turkey, Lobster, Sweet Potato Pie..." song.

My mother, dad, and wife all thought I was crazy, but the kids and I thought it was a great theme song.

How does this relate to California Screamin', you ask. Simply because it is the icing on the cake. I was so disappointed it was going to be down, but now due to internet rumours, I'm excited again. Now I can put away my ingenius plan to fix the darn rollercoaster myself while I was down there.

I'm heading to CA next week and I REALLY hope it's up and running. It is one of my favs. This is only our 2nd trip to DL and last year when we went pretty much EVERYTHING was shutdown (even the castle covered in blue tarps!). So we just had to go back this year to see all the stuff we missed, but were looking forward to riding screamin...

I won't get my hopes up yet, but I'll keep my fingers crossed and send a lil :wizard:

A good pal of mine has AP and goes a lot... every 3 days or so. He said that every time he was there they were sending cars out.
They have these water tank type things that they strap into the chairs and fill to simulate different weights and then run the trains.

Hope its open for everyone soon!

If anyone goes to CA and sees it up and running - or better yet - actually rides on it - PLEASE let us know!

:earsgirl:

Bad news. I was there until the 11th and no CS. The tested the heck out of it, but they never opened it. We felt if was like a cruel tease, sending all five trains around and around.

Maybe by the Halloween parties.

Just saw a few empty trains running today while standing outside the GCH. Only two days left so hopefully we'll get very lucky!!!!

Come on come on come on... OPEN BACK UP!!!
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Ok... so I ended up getting my hopes up! :confused3

Only 6 more days until we get there (maybe 7 because the first day we will be over at DL) and we wanna ride it again!!!!

I'm also hading to DL and DCA for the 1st time on 11/5, and I really hopoe to ride this!

Well I would think this ride opens by November 1st. I think it would really bring some needed revenue. Also I would think it opens by my August 2006 trip.

Looks like a great ride and I would be thrilled to see it open.
