CAKES???Anyone??

I need a special cake for my father at Ohana's. Has anyone done this? Are the cakes any good? Any information is appreciated.

I was going to do that last year for DH's birthday. Think to special order through WDW it was around $15.00. I ended up when making my ressies mentioning it was his birthday and they brought him a dessert with a decoration or something on the top (complimentary). I then ordered my own dessert. Glad we did it this way. I knew we'd never eat an entire cake and couldn't imagine having to tote around a cake box and trying to manage it in our room too.

At WL last summer, I phoned room service and the brought a lovely chocolate cake with plates, napkins, forks, birthday candles and matches. They said I could have had it decorated had I given them more than 30 min. I think it was around 15.00 + room service charges.

Poly will make a cake for me. An 8 inch for $24.99. I get to pick cake, filling, and frosting. Has anyone ever ordered one of these???? I am most interested in quality.....

I would love to know the answer to this too. We are staying at the Poly and I had thought about ordering a cake for my sisters birthday. I don't care about paying 25.00 for it. I just want to make sure it's yummy.
