Hello! Where is the best place to get a small cake or even a slice in either park or DTD? Celebrating our little guy’s 2nd birthday this trip and wanted to do a little something special one evening for him :)

You can order a specialty cake at any of the Disney restaurants. There’s Marceline’s bakery for regular sweets I’m guessing they’d have cupcakes.

Thanks—we had considered the specialty cake, but didn’t want to risk CMs seeing it and possibly overwhelming him with birthday wishes or a possibly group coming together to wish him a happy birthday as he would not handle that well with his anxiety if the focus is on him, especially when it comes to strangers (he has autism, so it may trigger him to start to stim or completely lose it—he would probably be fine if the focus was on a sibling, but not him). If there was a way to make sure that wouldn’t happen without sounding rude, I would be all for that—wondering if we could make a note of it not to overwhelm him...We may check out Marceline’s for cupcakes, though!

Pooh's Corner back by Splash Mountain has all sorts of treats. They have cake pops, and cupcakes, and rice crispy treats, and cookies, and coated applies and on and on and on. No tables inside as it is more of a store-- but he could pick out his own treat and so could everyone else and then you could go sit at a table at the Hungry bear or at a bench somewhere.

Another idea would be to go to Gharardelli's Soda Fountain and Chocolate shop in California Adventure and have Birthday sundaes instead of cake.

Red Rose Tavern has the grey stuff- which is white chocolate mousse and red velvet cake with raspberry center- but I'm not sure a 2 year old would consider that cake or like it. Depends on the 2 year old!

Paradise Garden Grill at CA has slices of black forrest cake- but again probably not what a 2 year old would want. They had a great cake slice last summer for Pixar Fest that had red, blue and yellow layers, but I'm sure that is long gone.

Thought of something else- I think the Plaza Inn just started selling a "Celebration Cake" slice to celebrate Mickey and Minnie--- it has red and yellow lawyers with raspberry and lemon filling

I also think they recently started having Mickey or Minnie Chocolate Chip Cookie cupcakes in Toontown to celebrate Mickey and Minnie. I think those are covered in "birthday" sprinkles

Edited--- I found the Disney parks blog showing those:

Thank you so much! That Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie Birthday Cupcake is ADORABLE and would be perfect for him! That’s a great list as well! So many wonderful options—glad my diet starts up AFTER the trip!

Boardwalk bakery has individual mickey shaped "cakes" with mickey's face on it, and I think some of the confectionery shops have them too. They are around $5, and you could get one and bring it to where you want to celebrate-food court or room, or QS location. Maybe an outside table near Casey's would work, or on the Boardwalk?

OP is asking about DLR.
