cake vs. pie

Aaaaaand shot from a final (albeit very sad:sad2:) angle...

I don't really wanna hijack a Cake vs Pie thread with Dole Whips... :goodvibes

Especially 'cuz Brandie's cake(s) was da BOMB diggity!!!:worship:

*GASP* :scared::sad::faint::worried: Why is there cake in the trash? Cake is never supposed to be in the trash!!!

It is something some people post when a thread is going in one direction and they hijack it with pie or cake posts.

Not sure why, it is a game people like to play, just like when they were back on the grade school playground.

Ooooh, I'm kind of a fan of thinking back to the days when I was in grade school on the playground. Remember those days when Billy pulled your pigtails and you were NOT going to marry him anymore. Or you best friend Susie told you that you couldn't swing with her because she liked Molly today. And then Mary Lou suggested we all play freeze tag and life couldn't be better. Susie was again your maid of honor at yours and Billy's wedding.

It's like having a piece of cake (or pie). This is our happy place. We don't want to fight. We're friends. Everyone can play. Just pull up a chair and have a piece of cake (or pie).

Oh, my! Three kinds of pie and ever so much cake!

You all sure did jump on the thread I started. Thanks for attempting to explain the origin of it cake vs. pie. And now I understand its continuation as a way to disrupt a thread gone haywire.

:cheer2: Hooray to you all!

But you ignored my next question. I understand most of the smilies and they are all so darn cute. But I can't help thinking that there must be a secret meaning to a dancing  banana.

Clues, please!

Not sure. Maybe just a cute way to show excitement and elation. I made a green one, because the yellow one won't always dance for me. My green one does.:goodvibes

Don. A custard or bread style pudding? Both have merits.

custard, bread pudding is for old people (sorry old people)

I got this feelin', somebody's watching me...... ;)

Is it the pile of money that you could be saying with Geico?

OMG, hilarious!

I don't appreciate the way you put pie in () Like its the lesser of the two...I'm taking my ball and going home.

So if I play that song and show you a pile of money you'll dance for me?

Umm....YEA!! I for one will dance like a maniac (which btw is the only way I dance)

:confused3

I "Wiki'd" dancing banana for an explanation. I saw the above peanut butter and jelly reference. :)

Sorry if we like to keep the place happy and at each other's throats...

Where is your cake tag young lady??? I thought there was some chance a certain tag fairy might visit and bestow you with one?

Here's the thing Rich. We are a fun, light-hearted bunch here and don't like it when someone is trying to muck up the waters. So when we see it, we do a cake or pie intervention. See Jen here, see only does cake interventions. George you'll see, he can handle his pies. It changes the subject and keeps everyone from kicking your *s* online. See how that works? We are just trying to be helpful If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

Hey Jen, can you pass the :cake:?
Well said!

I politely disagree with you, Rich. I see the Podcast forum as my happy place. I come here to share my day and talk about the cruise and read about the days of my "friends". I have enough conflict and drama in my life so trying to steer conversations in a fun and friendly way to cake vs. pie talk is my way of making peace. If I want to get in a debate about my cake is better than your cake, I'll take it to the Community forum.

Maybe you're still on the school playground, but I'm going to Disney World!
Why are your friends is quotes? I'm not sure I like that missy...;)

It's time for cake pictures. :)

Oooh...that's a cool cake! One I could actually make! :rotfl:

Okay, pie story. Every Thanksgiving I make a bunch of pumpkin pies. Yes, I use the can of pie mix, but a couple years ago I used the packed pumpkin and added the dry ingredients seperately. My nephew ate the pie and said it tasted like dirt. :lmao: So I'm back to using the canned mix.
I don't like pumpkin pie. :scared:

That DIS cake looks awesome!!! Great job!!!
Thanks!

Oh how I wish I could have had me some of this. It looks sooooo yummy.. But Indy be too far away.

Someone is retiring from work today and we are having chocolate cake with strawberry filling.
Yeah...and I hear you smack the poor retiring employees around too...

That DIS cake was several different flavors. The top tier was moegeetoe...middle was grapefruit (in honor of the Brown Derby at WDW)...and the bottom was chocolate...I think...

I was sick to death of cake by that point and no one else wanted it. What else was I gonna do with it? :rotfl2:

Man...that Mary Lou was a bully though...;)

:dance3:

If your DH is far enough away.......:rolleyes1

*note to self: pack feathers to dance during cruise*
Feathers? Did someone say feathers? Edward? Bella?

I don't appreciate the way you put pie in () Like its the lesser of the two...I'm taking my ball and going home.
Spoil sport...:rolleyes1

Hey lookie there...multiquote works in this thread, but not in the cruise thread...weird, huh? :rotfl2:

It is CRITICAL to include that one of the layers in Brandie's cake was MOJITO flavored - in honor of Bawb!

I have a small confession to make here. Although I never met a cake I didn't like...

I actually prefer pie. Apple and cherry are my favorites.
