Cake Topper

Do you think it would be risky to buy a cake topper 2 days before the wedding, and hope we can find one?

We are specifically looking for the Precious Moments "Magically Ever After" one. Stores here don't sell it, and it costs a lot to order it online, since they are all from the US (so shipping costs are a nightmare!).

Does anyone know if this item is normally carried in any of the downtown disney stores?

I do remember seeing Precious Moments stuff in the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney. Don't recall if that one was there or not, but then again, I wasn't looking for it.

If anything, will you be renting a car (or someone you know)? I always see that one at Hallmark stores, maybe it would be worth taking a trip to see. There is one about 20 minutes away from Disney (so says MapQuest):

I can tell you for a fact that WDW no longer carries this particular statue because I just went through getting it as my cake topper. We live in Orlando and WDW apparently stopped selling it about 2-3 years ago. Disneyland, however, still sells it. I had to have a friend buy it for me there and ship it to us. Would it cost a lot for Disneyland to ship it to you? Ryan's Hallmark did not have it when I was in there shopping their after Christmas sale but that doesn't mean it wasn't just sold out because they did have other Disney Precious Moments. My back-up plan if our friend in CA couldn't get it for us was amazon.com. It was actually cheaper on there than the Disney websites and if you can somehow buy it on amazon and ship it to a US address things over $25 sold by Amazon ship for free. Good luck!

Thanks for your advice I saw it on the disney shopping website, but it seems that it won't ship to Canada, and I don't know anyone who lives in the US. My FBIL has a mailbox there, but they even specify they will not ship to a PO Box (Amazon specified that as well)
