I tried the email listed in the cake thread and haven't heard a word. I've sent it 4 times. I wanted to do it by email because I sent a pic to use...Should I just call instead? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Have you read thru any of the cake thread? Seems like most folks call to make their orders...I haven't done either but may phone for one next trip.

I called for the cake we will be having at the concourse steakhouse. No much of a choice. I was offered either chocolate or vanilla cake. I chose choc. She said ok that will be an 8" choc. cake with fudge icing. Huh? :confused3 I thought I would get more of a choice after looking at the cake thread. Oh well. Good luck.

Hmmmmm I ordered mine through the WL concierge for the WCC. They gave me alot of choices and I think it was $48 for the 12 inch cake. It was choc cake with choc mousse filling and fudge iceing. But there were 2 kinds of cake, 3 fillings, and about 5 iceings to choose from. They took my cc info and sent me a confirmation email. My first contact however was a phone call.

They did not make me pay ahead of time. She said I could pay for it at the meal. I think it was 25 for the 8". No email confirm either.

I would follow up with a call, for sure. You might have to leave a message or two, but someone has always gotten back to me eventually ... granted, CRT took two weeks to call my DH back but most call back within a day or two.

Just an FYI for any posters out there but most resorts or restaurants will require a minimum 10 inch cake ($40) to do any customization of fillings. The 8 inch will be chocolate on chocolate or vanilla on vanilla but you can add names and a theme (chocolate disks, etc that will cost extra). The 6 inch $12.50 cake doesn't come with any personalization at all under most circumstances. HTH!

Oh, and so far, they've always taken my CC number to hold the order but haven't actually charged me until it was delivered. YMMV at other locations.
