Has anyone ordered a cake from there? and was it good? We are going to have a small birthday celebration for grandson in our room at BWV and need a cake. My daughter is bringing a topper, just need a delicious cake. Thanks in advance

We had some of the mini-dome cakes and a petit cake from Amorette's last month. Yum!!!!

One thing to note... the Signature (and Petit) cake have a Raspberry Jelly layer in them. That that wasn't our favorite, and we kind of ate around it. So if you don't like Raspberry, it may not be a good choice.

Those are adorable
I called Amorette's to check if I needed to order for the petit cakes or the mini domes (like those in the photo). They said no, just show up. I too am having a little birthday celebration while I'm staying at BWV so I wanted to be sure. The lady did tell me that the baby yoda mini mousse cakes are very popular now and go fast. Other than that she said all the standard small cakes are pretty much available just to pick up whenever. The larger dome mousse cakes (around $59.00 I'm not so sure about). Hope this helps.

It's been several years, but we ordered a domed character cake from Amorette's several years ago and it was DELICIOUS! It became my snack in the room for the remainder of the trip.

We love Amorette's -- it is our go to location for all celebrations (and we are locals). The small desert items are absolutely delicious & we've also enjoyed the cakes (although the icing is sometimes sweeter than I'd prefer on cakes). They will package your items in pretty boxes & bags for take-out, upon request.

Oh my goodness! I think I may blow all my "spending money" on mini cakes! But it's going to be my birthday trip so YOLO! Nom, nom,😋

Why not order a cake , ( a large selection to choose from ) from Publix or Walmart. ?

They may deliver or if you have a car you could collect from store

Publix & Walmart on Hwy 192 near Animal Kingdom

Does your group like fancy schmanzy desserts, or plain desserts? I personally would rather have a cake from Publix or Walmart. The Amorette's cakes are not the slightest bit tempting to me (and I eat a cupcake a day when I'm at Disney World, so it's not like I don't have a sweet tooth).

I tried a couple of their mini cakes a couple of years ago and I did not think that they were that good. Full disclosure, I am a baker that also travels to check out bakeries in other cities and countries, and so I might have different standards. But many people seem to like their cakes.

You can pick up a mickey mousse dome cake across the lake at the Beach Club. They have dark chocolate or white chocolate and can get Happy Birthday written on the ears if you order early enough in the day. They can be ordered through mobile order too.

I felt the same. They are really pretty, but not really wowed by the taste.

As for the OP, if this is a child's birthday I don't know that I'd waste the money even though they cake will look very pretty in pictures.

you could also order a custom cake from Disney. I bought a dome cake from Amorette's and it wasn't my favorite. I could eat the pistachio eclairs by the truck full but the cake didn't do it for me.

Ordered a custom cake from Disney for my nephews birthday and it was delicious and adorable!

I'll jump on this bandwagon. We had one of the mini cakes and the fondant coating was not pleasant. It also had "crispy pearls" in it, but when you put crispy pearls inside a cake, they become "soggy pearls" which were less than pleasant to eat. Some of the cake part was ok. But overall, I would order a cake from somewhere else.

Also, depending on your timing, Gideon's Bakehouse is supposed to be opening at DS sometime in the next few weeks or so (hopefully by the first week of Dec when we are there!!!), and they have cakes that you can (and probably MUST) pre-order. I would recommend checking out their website to see what they have to offer. You might gain 5 pounds just reading their site!!! LOL!!! :cake:
