I love your cake. I'm helping someone plan a wedding and want to share this with her since it will fit her location and colors. Is it fondant?

Yes it is. I got the pic online and a friend of ours, a DIS friend, who had a wedding last year, used a cake lady. Now, my friend lives 4 hours away from us in NC. I told him, OMG I LOVE your cake, it's amazing!! He said, "You'll never belive it, but the cake lady lives in RALEIGH!" I almost died!!! What are the chances?? I SOOOO love the DIS boards and my DIS friends!!

They did several cakes at their wedding, chocolate w/ chocolate dipped strawberries on them, it was GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!

I know that fruitcake gets ridiculed. I like it if it isn't that cheap junk kind from the drug store. We are having fruit cake, laughs or no laughs, because we are having a Christmas theme for our ceremony.

We're doing two layers of almond cake with amaretto mousse (the only major decision Evan truly cared about!) and one with the tropical mousse. The marble cake was a close runner-up as well. I thought about the raspberry fillings, but my aunt makes the most amazing raspberry and dark chocolate cake that nothing could compare!

I love fruitcake as well (My Grandma used to make the best fruitcake). When we were originally planning on getting married in Jamaica, our cake was going to be a fruitcake. I think it's a wonderful idea for a Christmas themed wedding!
