Hi

I am looking at intimate wedding planning worksheet.
My fiance and i both are not mousse fans but among six filling flavors , five of them are mousse .

One of them is Amaretto mousse .Can someone describe what it tastes like?

Thx
Terence

While I can not personally describe to you what it tastes like we had it at our recent tasting session. My mother is a huge fan of that flavor and she loved it! She said it was the best she ever had and was so rich in flavor. In fact since we got back thats all she can talk about. Sorry I can't describe the actaul taste.

Our cake was chocolate with amaretto mousse...it was SOOOOO good!!

Amaretto has a predominant "almond" flavor.

I can't personally tell you either, but since I don't know if you're asking about the Disney amaretto mousse specifically, or amaretto in general, I would venture to suggest that if you like amaretto liqueur or almond extract, it would probably be a good choice. Disney certainly doesn't disappoint when it comes to food! :)

dang! I want my cake again now! LOL!!!

Truly- the mousse isn't the traditional served in a cup mousse. It's a lighter filling than most traditional cake fillings, but isn't necessarily a mousse-mousse (like that makes any sense!). If you are going to be there for an official planning session, ask to try a few as they bring them out in chocolate cups and you can mix and match the type of cake you want to try them on. We absolutely loved the Bavarian cream with strawberries... it was sooo yummy!
xoxo

I love amaretto. However, lately I've been getting a real bad headaches whenever I have just the slightest taste of it. It does taste very good.

We had the almond cake with amaretto mousse for out WDW wedding and it was the most wonderful cake i've ever had. The almond flavor wasn't overpowering it was very subtle.

Amaretto is almond-flavoured. The flavouring is very common in Italian pastries/cookies and also in cheesecakes, not to mention the liqueur of the same name.

Has anyone tried the Red Velvet cake?

OF COURSE! What southern wedding is complete without Red Velvet?!

Red Velvet is our top layer! I was so happy Disney offers it! A lot of places we've worked with over the years (Birthday cakes were always a huge deal in my house) wouldn't do a white frosting or fondant with the red velvet. They used to say that they couldn't hide the red velvet under the white. . . well, Disney has! We're having red velvet and CHOCOLATE mousse filling :rotfl: DFi loved the milk chocolate, so we decided to go that route instead of the white chocolate route

Apparently a wedding in the south is NOT a wedding without it. I'm a mid-western girl, and I had no idea as to why all of DH2B's grandmother's were so confused that I wasn't having a red velvet wedding cake. So our Tennessee reception (which were having on a river boat called the General Jackson) will be complete with a red velvet wedding cake..... as long as I don't have a groom's cake shaped as a possum I'll be okay! :rotfl:
