Cake Bake Shop at the BoardWalk is now open

I'm wondering about the menus, the walkup bakery line, is that only sweet things? Do I need a reservation to get actual food? Or I saw upthread there's a bar? Could I just stop in (solo) and get a treat or some food at the bar?
Yes, I've sat at the bar solo on a few occasions now. Full menu is available and the bartenders are great. Maybe avoid popular meal times for best chance of there being an open spot.

Think the bakery only has sweet things, nothing like ham and Swiss croissants.
The restaurant serves sweet and savory, 3 meals a day and don’t know what time the bar opens. You can see the full menu at one of three sites: www.disneygo.com
www.the cakebakeshop.com
www.opentable.com

You can also make reservations at at least two of the sites. I’ve found Open Table easiest.

Bar opens at 7am along with the restaurant. I’m not sure breakfast is super-popular as there were no more than ten of us in there last week for a 8am res, so that might be a good time to hit it up if you don’t mind breakfast.

Edit: Oops, meant to reply to OP!

We are local to the original locations and the walkup line at the one by our house is sweet stuff only. I’m assuming the WDW location is the same.

They serve Alcohol at 7am when they open?

Yep. I don’t have first-hand experience, but I’ve seen several posts from people grabbing a black swan or cosmo to go at 7am before heading to the parks.
Good enough for me. Staying at BW in Sept. so wanted to stop on my way to Epcot. Thanks!!
