Cake Bake Shop at the BoardWalk is now open

Can I ask the cost? I'm thinking of booking for our July trip.
I think it ended up about $125/person, you have to pay upfront when you book and sign a contract (it fills up fast as well, our preferred dates were already full). We thought it was well worth it, it was a really fun experience!

I cancelled early Sunday for for Mothers Day because I got cheap under $500 room rate for New Helios Grand …
I completely forgot about the fee for late cancel .The Boardwalk direct line said it would be $20 for the 2 guests…
Now I might go tomorrow cause I really wanted to try the Quiche !
Evil Magnets AP today inside EPCOT reminder at Connections next to the Starbucks thru July …

just came here to say - my family and I had dinner at the Cake Bake Shop in April and it was wonderful! From our server to the drinks, the food and the dessert - my family loved everything. Get the Signature Gumbo -that's what I ordered - (key word here is "ordered" as my husband is the one who "ate" most of it, sadly. I almost ordered another one.. :rotfl2: ). Can't speak to the bill as DH paid and I didn't ask, but we will definitely be back!

How quickly did you receive your contract? I called yesterday and I'm impatiently waiting and don't want to bother them again.

We were thinking of possibly doing Cake Bake for later dinner on our arrival night, staying at Boardwalk. It's not until 10/28 but I can already see reservations on Open Table. But they take a credit card just for dinner on Open Table and then it's a 24 hr cancellation (not the two hour per usual Disney rules) and $25 per person if you miss. So with flying in that day, we decided not to book.

My question - is it ever possible to get reservations day of for a later dinner for 2? Probably around 8?

Very wise not to book on OpenTable for an arrival day, a lot of folks don’t realize there’s consequences for no showing a reservation beyond just being out the fee. If you do it enough times they actually suspend your account, iirc it’s a 3 strikes rule. That’s why I’m very cautious about booking on arrival days. I made a placeholder on there for Rosa Mexicano on our arrival day but as soon as our ADR day came up I canceled it and made one on the Disney system.

I would recommend it for any event. I've eaten there 4 times now and loved everything I've gotten.
Thanks ! We may try in July we are staying close by at boardwalk villas. We always walked by it when we were there last year but just could not convince myself price was worth it. Maybe it is

We were there last March for lunch. Beautiful decor, the food was fantastic, the service was great. . Definitely not a place to go often though. Almost $200 for lunch for 3 including two sandwiches, one salad, two desserts one glass of wine. Over $200 with well deserved tip.

Used the 20% off coupon from the Birnbaum book in the Bake Shop to purchase 2 cake slices. Initially I was told that coupon was only good for the restaurant but I asked them to please check with manager because coupon does apply to both restaurant & Bake Shop. The manager came out and immediately showed them how to ring up. So if you are told you can’t use the coupon definitely ask for manager.

Just a reminder….they do give the 10% DISNEY VISA discount. The Birnbaum guide is $20, if you’re buying it for trip planning, great. If you’re buying it just for this discount, the Disney Visa discount might be enough, depending what you plan to order. For what we spent, we would have gotten less than $10 more with the coupon. Going with my DV discount meant 1 less thing I had to buy & worry about bringing with me.

We were there in April. I was so pleasantly surprised how delicious everything was. The espresso martini was as good as it was beautiful! I had the French onion soup and chicken salad sandwich. We had no room for dessert, but we will be back in July!!

I'm wondering about the menus, the walkup bakery line, is that only sweet things? Do I need a reservation to get actual food? Or I saw upthread there's a bar? Could I just stop in (solo) and get a treat or some food at the bar?
