Cake Bake Shop at the BoardWalk is now open

In my imagination I wanted it to look like a cake !
And think they should have small wedding party reception in the upper level.
But that would be so expensive !
The upper level filled with sparkly lights will be perfect .
Maybe they will surprise us with upper level dining…

Will it be facing the Wedding Gazebo along the BoardWalk?

The wedding gazebo is further down towards Epcot. You might be able to see it from a few window seats, but generally you won’t see the wedding gazebo from there.

I'm here right now. I saw someone touching up paint on the outside and it looked like the interior was finished when I tried to peek around the walls. It looked empty but I could only see a small portion of the interior.

I just ate at the one in Carmel (again) because my niece wanted to go there for her birthday. She loved it because it was instagram-worthy, but none in the group thought their food, including cakes, was very good. It’s the third time I’ve been there - my kid went to IU for undergrad, so it was a must-do destination, and I have yet to be impressed. I’m looking forward to the reviews of the BW property.

As with pretty much everything at Disney, it's about the experience, isn't it? I'm looking forward (fingers crossed) to be able to try it when we're there in Feb. It seems like a pretty special place that suits the Disney vibe. Am I expecting cuisine? Not really. Many of the Disney eateries are not high end dining experiences. Either way, it will be fun to try it out. The cakes look pretty special.

The cakes look gorgeous! But, imo, as with Disney desserts, they look very pretty, but they don’t taste very pretty.

The vibe is on point! The place is the perfect backdrop for ladies who lunch or sorority girls who like a beautiful picture venue. I think aesthetic-wise, it will do quite well.

The menu looks like the Carmel City one. Definitely trying for this on our Christmas trip.
