Trip Report Day #9
10 day trip (Dec. 11th to Dec. 20th)
Monday Dec. 19th
This was our last catch up day. After eating a light breakfast from Roaring Forks, Katie and I headed to Animal Kingdom. We got there before the opening and witnessed the morning sunrise near the Tree of life. The characters came out on a truck and welcomed us to the park. We all were escorted to Kilamanjaro Safari that morning. After Touring Asia and taking picture of Expedition Everest, Katie and I shared a fried chicken sandwich for lunch from the Tusker house. Also something really neat that we witnessed when waiting to enter the park was a remote controlled palm tree that talked! Im not sure what it was called but it was really funny, and actually got in line behind us as it waited to enter the park along with the guests.
Katie and I then went DTD for Goofys Candy Company and finally back to Magic Kingdom. We wanted to get a last viewing of the POTC, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion. You could definitely tell that the Christmas week crowd was starting to come in. MK was much more crowded than the week before. The last time we rode Haunted Mansion we walked right on. Today the posted wait time was 50 minutes although we only waited 30 minutes. What a difference. POTC had a posted wait of 45 minutes but it only took us 20 minutes. And we used fastpass for Jungle Cruise. That night we met up with my parents for ADR at Boma. The food was weird but very good.
After dinner it was back to the resort for sleep.
Tomorrow is our trip back home.
