So I am an admitted caffeine addict. Often go to Starbucks more than once day... it's so sad. there are literalaly at least 4 starbucks where the employees will often start making my drink when I enter the store.

So i'm wondering where I can get my fix when at WDW next month. What's your favorite spots?

Our 2005 left very bad memories for us because only Nescafe was served at POR and in many of the restaurants. Early rising for the park & no caffeine with withdrawal headache was NOTY good

Just back & happy to report Epcot Worldshowcase had many Coffee/Esperro carts. POR had Cappucino at the Bakery area. Animal Kingdom had African coffee. All & All -- we did not find anything as good as Starbucks or Timothys, but we found good enough coffee to not have withdrawal headaches!

I feel your pain!:rotfl:
I am a Tim Hortons coffee addict and when we went to WDW this year I went through a bad coffee withdrawal. The coffee at WDW is horid when compared to Timmy's. My suggestion, bring your own!

I agree with both of the PPs! If possible, bring your own and then hit the carts in EPCOT when there! And, by the way, one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had was in AK. The CM in Tusker House told me about it when I was desperately looking for a good cup of coffee! Fantastic!! Do you want to know the reason they call it bird poop coffee? Nahh...just get a cup when in AK and enjoy!

I agree with the above posters. Sorry, but WDW coffee was horrible. :scared:

The only place we managed to get a decent cup of coffee was with our meal at Chefs de France restaurant (they had a proper coffee percolator/machine). However with tip that cost nearly $10 for 2 small cups...

We stayed at POR in September and they give complimentary coffee for the pots in the room. It is better than the Nescafe stuff, although not awesome by any means. Each year for either birthday, Christmas, etc, it is inevitable that friends/family give us sample size packages of coffee. We take those with us so we have other options for coffee.

I think WDW is the only place left that actually offers Nescafe. Should that be a sign to them?

I think the Swan and Dolphin used to serve Starbucks coffee in the past, not sure if they still do..

I am bad about my coffee too so I pack my little Farberware coffeepot and my Green mountain Coffee, our blend, and perk my own in my room for the morning..

Disney has the worse coffee, although if you can find a place with French press coffee...it is usually pretty good..

Off property, there is a Starbucks at the premium outlets...thank God for that.

You better bring your own coffee.

The coffee at the resorts and Epcot is Nescafe which is made from a coffee "syrup". There are some espresso machines at the parks. They make absolute pig swill. Not only are the cast members untrained in coffee making, but they do not know how to steam milk.

After 5 days of WDW coffee, when we got to the airport and had a Starbucks, it tasted great compared to WDW coffee. And I don't think Starbucks is all that good.

I always hit WalMart for a 10.00 (or less) 10-12 cup coffee maker to bring on the trip with me. That Nescafe 'coffee product' stuff is really pretty bad! I usually just make arrangements to leave the pot for another guest or find someone staying at the resort and give it to them.

If you need a Starbucks fix there is one in Celebration which is just a hop and skip from WDW. Most of the food carts around Epcot sell coffee, cappucino, mocha, etc.

Switch to soda..

Wife and I hate coffee, love the AM caffeine. So Diet Pepsi/Coke is the ticket for us.

Disney does that fine :)

If you have to have hot, move to brewed tea. Lots of caffeine in most flavors..

Caffeine is caffeine.. Just drink a soda

You can head over the the Polynesian's coffee bar and score some Kona. :)

The only thing more famous than Mickey at WDW is their utterly disgusting coffee. Its really an amazing paradox for a place so famous for customer service to serve the most disgusting "coffee" known to man. The only other coffee that comes close is McDonalds. They serve their's ridiculously hot deliberately, so it scalds your taste buds to prevent actual taste from occurring.

Yeah, the carts serve "okay" coffee, but it's far from gourmet, and it's way over-priced. I'm fairly sure it's "pod coffee" made from a machine. But after drinking the NescaCrap it tastes pretty good though.

There should be a warning label on the swill generators stating that it's not coffee. It's made from some disgusting syrup that looks like heavy weight gear oil on a cold winter day. The first time I saw them filling a machine, I actually thought the syrup was the waste product they were removing FROM the machine. I threw up a little in my mouth when I realized I was drinking it. I also think I saw the CM gag a little while he was performing the dirty deed.

I have heard that if you use real cream with the Nescafe, and you hold your nose, it starts to resemble actual coffee. The fake creamer they have at WDW is almost as disgusting as the coffee syrup. Combining the two creates a Frankenbeverage that would turn even the most hardened stomachs.

This trip, we are going to bring our own coffee to the room. So at least we can have real coffee once a day.

definitely know your pain.... i work for starbucks and look forward to getting to work just for my coffee. for our last trip to the World, I packed a french press and had a pound of my favourite beans ground the day before I left. I heated the water with the in-room coffee maker and in 4 minutes - perfect coffee.
other than that - other posts are great suggestions. AK has great coffee. Most of the restaurants do NOT have the dreaded Nescafe. One of the best cappucinos I had was at CG.
go to Starbuck's website and there is a store locator with addresses, phone numbers and a map if you have to have that special "drink".:surfweb:

I generally agree with other posters - you won't like the refillable mug coffe at any of the resorts.

Also, You would only need to buy a coffee maker if you are staying at a value resort. I think even Pop is going to start having coffee makers in the rooms, but as of Sept. they didn't. Also the family suites at ASMu have them. Any of the mods or deluxes have coffee makers inthe room. It is probably better to bring your own coffee grounds and filters. In a pinch, I've used two of the packets they provide to make a good strong cup - but the staff isn't always great about restocking the rooms.

They recently redid the QS at the Dolphin, but they had Starbucks before, I can't see that they wouldn't have it now. You can even get a refillable mug! CSR has a coffee bar. POR did not have one the last time I was there, but they have also redone the QS place there, so maybe now hey have one. The Swan also has a coffee bar in the am, but I don't think it was Starbucks. They did have those flavored sryrup shots to add though.

Also, if you have a car, there are several Hess stations on property. Not sure about their coffee, but it's got to be better than the Nescafe.

On the hub in MK - but only in the AM - they have (or at least used to have) coffee bars where you could get espressos, etc.

Also.. I have it from a reliable source that you can get press coffee at Spoodles.....that has to be great..

Simple... Kona Cafe @ Poly... order the Kona coffee press (I think that's what it's called) Hnds down the best coffee I've had at WDW:thumbsup2

Eeeeeeeeek!! I'm scared now....I'm a coffee NUT. I even had to splurge on a deluxe BUNN coffeemaker because, not only do I want coffee...I need it in 3 minutes. LOL

We're at SSR and they are supposed to have coffee makers....anyone know if it is a little 4 cup in the villas usually? or a 10 cupper? If it's four...I'mma buy a walmart cheapy to bring with.

it's a full-size coffee maker. &, it uses Mr coffee type filters (flat bottom, not cone). we bring a bunch of filters & coffee from home. or pick them up at the grocery while there.

btw, writers' stop in MGM (okay, okay......DHS :rolleyes1 ) has the best caffeine we've found ~ they make an incredible iced mochacino (better than anything i've had at starbucks). considering i don't even like iced coffee, that's a huge compliment!! (the pressed pots at kona & spoodles were good, but just didn't "wow" us like it does so many :confused3 ).
hth :)
