Is it okay to take kids here?...I notice they have a kids menu, and we REALLY want to try it. Anybody done it w/ kids? Should we go very early?

We went in 06 with our friends and 5 kids total. It was loud in there before we got there ;) and the kids enjoyed it. Sometimes they have "crafts" for the kids to do, although nothing was going on the night we went.

Are you kidding? It's great! It's not "fancy", but it is uniquely decorated. There's artwork to purchase, and sometimes artists actually working; there's intermittent entertainment; and the food! Tapas are (is?) great for kids. Now, admittedly, I don't recall seeing too many - but I think that's more because not a lot of theme park guests know about it.

We were going to go to Tu Tu Tango on our last trip. We asked for directions from the concierge at the AKL and she said it was like a bar and not the kind of place we wanted to take kids. Obviously, this was wrong info. I'm kind of surprised that a concierge didn't know...it seems like this restaurant is pretty well known.

Anyway, I just remembered this when reading the question. We'll definitely go on our next trip.

I was just there 3 weeks ago, Microsoft rented out the whole place for a customer party while I was in town for one of their conferences. Great food, fun, place! It has a bar, but also a restaurant, I don't think it would be inappropriate for kids at all actually. It's more towards Universal than WDW, so a bit further away if you're staying at WDW, but worth the trip!

I've seen kids in there during the dinner hour, and while there is a bar, it's off to the back, so I think this is no more inappropriate than any of the larger casual dining chains (Chilis, Fridays...). If anything, a lot more to look at.

Like a lot of places in Orlando, it does tend to become more "bar" and less "restaurant" as it gets later, but you should be fine during normal dining hours.

Thanks everyone!
We are looking forward to going there...
it's DH and my vacation, too, and we think it looks like tons of fun for the kids...AND us!!

TuTu Tango is a great place to eat. Kids are welcomed. I took my daughter and 2 nephews and they loved the food.
