I was able to score a walk up table for my mother and I at lunch yesterday. We were told it would be about a fifteen minute wait, but the family directly behind me was turned away alltogether.
We were seated at a nice shaded table out on the patio. Our waitress quickly greeted us and explained that they were not seating to capacity since they were still in training mode (there were only about ten parties seated on the patio). Mom and I decided to split the monte cristo, and it was at our table less than ten minutes after we ordered. The sandwich was fantastic! It is identical to the one served at the Blue Bayou, and it was plenty to share. We were not charged the $4 split fee because we just shared the same plate.
Overall I'd say the food was excellent, but they are still working the kinks out of the service. We had to wait quite a while for our dinks to be refilled. Our waitress was wonking extremely hard though, so we didn't blame her. Once the staff has had time to work things out I think this will be my favorite Disneyland restauraunt.
