I was able to score a walk up table for my mother and I at lunch yesterday. We were told it would be about a fifteen minute wait, but the family directly behind me was turned away alltogether.

We were seated at a nice shaded table out on the patio. Our waitress quickly greeted us and explained that they were not seating to capacity since they were still in training mode (there were only about ten parties seated on the patio). Mom and I decided to split the monte cristo, and it was at our table less than ten minutes after we ordered. The sandwich was fantastic! It is identical to the one served at the Blue Bayou, and it was plenty to share. We were not charged the $4 split fee because we just shared the same plate.

Overall I'd say the food was excellent, but they are still working the kinks out of the service. We had to wait quite a while for our dinks to be refilled. Our waitress was wonking extremely hard though, so we didn't blame her. Once the staff has had time to work things out I think this will be my favorite Disneyland restauraunt.

Thanks for your review. I'm glad you had an enjoyable meal. I'm looking forward to trying it out. :)

I'd love to try this out, too! Maybe we should have a Dis lunch meet!

We ate there for the first time this past Tuesday. It was great. I made a PS reservation for 11:30 and we got in almost right away.

The food was AWESOME! I got the Monte Cristo and dh got the Crab Salad sandwich. Mine was soooo yummy, I am craving another right now. DH really liked his as well. My son got the PB&J monte cristo from the kids menu, and my daughter got the mac and cheese. They both liked it, in fact my daughter ate her meal all gone. Which is extremely rare for her, lol.

The service wasn't the greatest, kind of slow in getting drinks etc. But it was understandable with the reopening and being so busy.

All in all we will definitely be eating there again next trip! :teeth:

LOL I never remember to take pictures until the food is half way eaten.

ooh do tell us about that one...Im really interested :listen:

It was on like a sweet onion roll. The crab was mixed with small pieces of I think red bell pepper and celery in a mayo type dressing. On top of that it had avocado and tomato. I thought it was pretty good, and I don't even like crab. So if you are a crab and seafood fanatic, you should like it. :teeth:

DH and I ate there last Sunday. DH had a chicken caesar salad which he reported "delicious!", and I had the pommes frites (garlic parmesan french fries with a cajun dipping sauce) and they were to die for. For dessert DH ordered the crepe soufle and I had the mickey beignets! They both were very good. We walked up around 2pm and were escorted in immediately. Service was very slow, but very pleasant. This was during the madness of POTC ride opening and closing. We found out after we ate, that Blue bayou was open. Even though we had an enjoyable meal, I wished we had eaten at blue bayou instead. Oh well, another excuse to return to DL some day!
