Cafe Orleans - Refurb 5/4 - 5/8

i know the May 2009 schedule isn't up yet on the DL website...but Cafe Orleans will be closed for a refurb from 5/4/09 thru 5/8/09...at least that's what they told me. i got a call from Disney Dining this morning. i had made a PS for dinner - Monday 5/4, and they called me to let me know that they will be closed between 5/4 and 5/8...and if i wanted to make another PS for another time. i'm trying to juggle my PSs right now...so I made a Cafe Orleans dinner PS for sunday night 5/3 (which means I have to reschedule dinner at Rainforest Cafe for monday night...)

a new menu would be fabulous! But I wonder what they will be doing. Thankfully we'll be able to eat there before they close. I am curious as to what will only take a few days...hmmm.

No way! I was SO looking forward to the Monte Cristo there. Those are the exact days we will be there. BB doesn't have the Monte Cristo anymore do they?

I haven't made an PS yet.. I'm so bummed to hear this.

Yes, BB does have the monte cristo but only at lunch.

They do?! That is good to know! We weren't planning to eat there, mainly b/c our kids cannot sit still in a place like that but if its lunchtime... and we go early enough people might overlook us...

No, they aren't that bad, they might even enjoy the atmosphere.

LOL, I wouldn't trust that menu. They also list chocolate coins that come with the check as the only "dessert".

I look at the menus on All Ears.

I've been looking forward to finally trying those fries there. Hope that doesn't change. Other than that, nothing much jumped out at me.

the pommes frites are soooo yummy!!!

And yes, although I love the DIS their menus are seriously lacking. Look here for the BB lunch menu!

BB DOES have the MC on the lunch menu, we ate there in Jan and had one. I love that darn sammie, too bad it's sooooooo bad for you! LOL

You can ask for recipes at City Hall, just pop in and ask for it.

I got the call as well but our PS was for Friday 5/15 and I was told it wouldn't reopen until the 16th. Fortunately we'll still be there...I am so looking forward to the yummy food!

Can you get the 3 cheese monte at BB I don't see it on the menu but I have heard they share a kitchen. Hopefully they will update the kids menu at CO ds9 was heartbroken they took of the PB&J monte and he does not care for anything else there.

We also had to reschedule our Cafe Orleans PS. According to the CM that called me, it will be in refurb from May 11th-15th as well. I was, however, able to make a PS for May 10th, Mother's Day. That's interesting how they have it open in between the refurb dates.
