Cafe Mickey

We are coming to DLP in July for 3 nights/4 days and have just booked all our restaurants for the 3 nights.

I wanted to take my children to cafe mickey for lunch before we had to get our train home but when we asked to book a table at 2.30pm we where told they didn't take any bookings before 6.15pm!

I'm sure this is not the case can anybody help me understand why we where told this?

I have eaten here myself at lunchtime maybe they close after lunch at 2? Try booking a little earlier .

The characters are not at Cafe Mickey between 3pm and 6pm either, so I think you'd be best going for an earlier lunch there if you want to see the characters.

We eat at Cafe Mickey at about 1 pm on our last day in June last year and pretty much had the characters to ourselves!

A 1pm booking would probably work great for us but the women on the phone said they didn't take any bookings for Cafe Mickey till 6.15pm,
Is this a new thing or where we just told the wrong info?

AFAIK they're open all day/evening, it's just that there's no characters mid-morning and in the afternoon. Maybe they do shut for a bit in the afternoon and that's where there's a misunderstanding?

I have heard that they won't book breakfasts more than a couple of days in advance but lunch??

Anyhow if I were you I'd telephone again and see what they say this time. Go for 1pm too so that you don't miss out on the characters.

I think we will ring again tomorrow and see if we can book for 1pm hopefully we can as my 3 boys 2/5/10 would love it!

We did a character breakfast in Florida and it was amazing! We got so many magical picture of the kids looking awestruck!
